Location: on the island of Gangehi in the Northern part of the North Ari Atoll, 77km from the international airport Hulule (male).

Transfer: 25 minutes by seaplane (from 06:00 to 16:00).

The sizes of island: 200 x 150 m.

The hotel has 40 rooms.

Bungalows with double beds (two separate beds twin - on request).

Beach: own sandy beach, 10 m from the hotel (1 coastline). There's a home reef.

The best vacation of my life. The location is gorgeous, very cozy quiet island surrounded by a beautiful reef. Delicious variety of food. Comfortable houses, everything you need. The service was outstanding—professional, friendly, and always helpful , in partiicular Yuri, Delaide, Ilaria. You are jusr tre best!

Amazingly beautiful small island with fantastic underwater world- this is the perfect place for anyone who loves dividing and snorkelling or just enjoying the paradise-like beach and crystal-clear water. Also perfect for families. Gangehi is a well-maintained 4 star resort for travellers focusing on value for money - and the value is great: nice rooms (beach and over-water bungalows), great food, dive centre, spa, fitness room and nice garden. Please note that there is no pool. Highlight: the amazingly long and paradise-like sandbank !

This is our third stay at Gangehi Island Resort & Spa. We returned because the island is small and intimate. You feel like you're on your own private island. Staying in a water bungalow, you can admire the sunsets daily. Many thanks to Alam, who looked after our bungalow. Meals are served in the Veli Restaurant. Breakfasts are sweet European style. Lunches and dinners are a fusion of different flavors. Everyone will find something to their liking. There's a wide selection of fish, always served in several forms. Once a week, there's an Italian and Maldivian evening. Thank you to: Raja, Majunu, Majud, Vanka, Mathavan, Adhi, Sekar, Kumar, Rahim, Shohidul, and Sorekotol for the delicious meals. Thanks to the waiters: Rasheed, Rasel, Shamman, and Zahid. Next to the restaurant is the Kandu Bar, which serves delicious drinks, especially the Pina Colada. Many thanks to Armando, Samy, Hussian, and Siraj. If you want to relax, the spa is worth a visit. Thanks to Lasmi and Shobha. We'll definitely be back because it's truly relaxing. Thanks to everyone who works here. You're doing a fantastic job.

To be fair, the island has a beautiful natural environment with plenty of fish. However, the facilities are rather old, the rooms are only so-so in terms of cleanliness, and the service is just average. Dinner was decent, but breakfast was terrible; it tasted like leftovers from the previous night. This island is quite affordable and popular, so overall I would still recommend it.

The room was very clean, and the sea was right outside the door, where you could swim and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. There was also a small, winding beach.

We truly enjoyed our stay – everything was wonderful! The staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. The restaurant team might just be the most cheerful people we’ve ever met – they made every meal a joy. Thank you so much for making my birthday truly special. We’ll definitely come back again!

We had a wonderful time at Gangehi. First we have visitied the island twice for a day-trip, as there were no rooms available, the second day we've been offered a room for Friday, which we took. Our booking included full board, from which breakfast did not meet our expectations, lunch buffet was great, some of the dishes for dinner were very good, some average. However, the staff was extremely polite, we've been greeted every day with a smile, and on the third day they know us well, and they were always happy to have a quick chat. Big thanks to the guys at the bar for their ice cold beer (Sami), to the guy, who was responsible for desserts (sorry, forgot his name), and to many others. The island is a pure beauty, the sand bank, sunset, and snorkeling was amazing. If you are brave, you can swim every morning about 200m from the pier to the reef, where local tour operators feed the fish, and enjoy free snorkeling with sharks there. We loved Gangehi, would come back again, but I would suggest to improove the food quality (sometimes less is more). Thank you!

My partner and I visited Gangehi for a week and we had a wonderful stay at the resort. We went scuba diving, snorkelling and canoeing around the island and did plenty of lounging around too! The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was varied and delicious and the island is a stunning tropical paradise. The diving around the island is also brilliant with so many large fish to see like mantas and sharks. We will definitely be back to explore more of the local dive sights and sea creatures and chill out again at Gangehi in the future.

Great place, quiet, small island. Fantastic simple food – everyday local fish carpaccio, great service. Beautiful reef with abundance of fish, from clownfish to black tip tail sharks and rays. In my personal view - not a place for families with small kids. Be ready however that this is a tropical island and not a city hotel 😊
