Bayview Hotel by ST Hotels in Gzira

3 stars - like the Hotel.
Rooms are alright, but not very well decorated and thus seem large and empty. They are very well renovated, tho.
The bar is alright, I guess. Guy behind the bar was very friendly and the Billiard table works as intended.
Breakfast is an experience. What once might have been only one Hotel-Tower is now two. That makes twice as many people during breakfast times and sure as hell, the place is crammed. Also, the food is alright, but nothing more than that. If you fancy breakfast the English way, you might be more delighted, but even that stuff is only just alright.
Service at breakfast and room service is good, they can't seem to figure out how to hand out towels. It should be 1 small 1 large per person but we usually had an odd amount of towels.
Lastly, there is a pool. Three even. One is outdoors on the roof (if you stay in the wrong tower that's 6 stories down 7 up to get there), which is quite small but which is indeed a pool. Bits and pieces of the tiling have come loose over the last couple of years but whatever. The indoor pools... My oh my. The larger one looses it's protective paint and if you had put even a foot in there it would have been covered in paint flakes, the Jacuzzi is more of a lukewarm larger-than-life-sized bathtub than anything else. And really, one's still freezing in there.
Yes, you are right at the "harbor" and there is Bus stop at the front door. (But busses in Malta are a whole other story on their own). And the room fares are very affordable.
