I was transfer to another hotel. I booked with trip.com and not sure why it arranged by *******. I choose my accomodations based on review. Even the room that my original booked is cheap but sending me away to the super low reviews (6.9) caused me anxiety. I'm not sure they thought they giving me a good deal but the one they send me is old wing. (Plaza Regency Hotel) Lucky it turn out not tat bad (breakfast - don't bother). I think my single room is after the renovation but the linen sheet seem like never change..so I requested for new bed linen. The reason the original hotel give me is kinda joke. I booked in the month of January and paid in full. How can they tell me is fully booked? This is somewhere people not taking the job seriously. I always booked thru trip.com for all my trip and with this incident I will make sure if I have no alternative only will consider booking via trip.com.

We arrived late at 11pm and the self check-in procedure is clear and easy. Unfortunately, Room 1 given to us facing the street, hence we cannot open window. It likes in a room without window.
The next surprise is the broken sliding door of the shower corner. After bathing, the whole bathroom is all wet. We reported to reception next morning and the lady indeed knows about it. Our request to change our room (as we stay three nights) are told not possible. The only compensation we are given is one more floor mat. I think the hotel should block this room from booking, or at least add a shower curtain at the interim. The 'do nothing' attitude is very disapppointing.
Re. breakfast, it's normal European style. If you are Britain or Asia, don't expect too much.

First and foremost, the building itself was absolutely gorgeous!
Check-in was relatively easy and my sleep was very comfortable.
However, it wasn’t a major issue but there was quite a bit of dust built up around the room, it’s just that extra attention to detail needed and my bed seemed to be on its last legs, very squeaky and I felt like it was about to collapse, the mattress however was very comfortable!
All in all I had a great stay and will definitely book The Maltese Sun again when I next come to Malta!

It's about a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport.
I arrived around 11:30 AM and left my luggage before check-in (2 PM) and went out for lunch.
The ocean is right around the corner!

When I returned at 2 PM, my luggage was safely stored.
After checking in, I was assigned a room on the first floor, right in front of the door.
I was worried about noise because it was right on the road, right in front of the door.
But it was quieter than I expected. Other guests can be a little noisy when they come in, but most of them are polite during bedtime! The room was clean, and there was no need to worry about bed bugs.
The floor wasn't carpeted, so there wasn't much dust.

Breakfast, which started at 8:30 AM, was served on the sun-drenched terrace, just like the name "The Maltese Sun."
It even made me feel healthier. It's a buffet, and the staff will bring out eggs, ham, cheese, etc. according to your request. ^^

Even with my broken English, they were great at leading the conversation and explaining things.

The exterior is simple and distinctive, and the interior has been renovated, clean and bright, combining old buildings with modern styles. The hotel is 50 meters away from the beach, and there are many bus lines that can directly reach the scenic spots.

I was quite satisfied with the room provided to me. However, I had a large unwelcome guest upon arrival. It was cleaned up and removed the next morning and all was good after that.
I would recommend staying there and will again
