Astra Hotel in Sliema

The absolute worst hotel I stayed in. Beds are like stones, and squeeky. Walls are like papier-mache. You hear your neighbours walking, snoring, farting and whatever. It actually is windy inside the room, because of the draft under the doors. The sink is in your bedroom.
Breakfast is served at the Preluna hotel, around the corner.
The only good thing under my stay in nov-16, is the reception staff. Friendly and helpful.
But stay away from this hotel...

Horrendous, whoever gave this hotel 3 stars was either given a bribe or drunk. Good luck falling asleep before midnight thanks to thin walls, poorly fitted windows and the pubs/resturants below trying to see who can make the most noise. All wrapped up with other logders not caring at all about others means I really would avoid at all costs. 1 Star becuase the breakfast was nice.

One star only for a good location of the hotel, close to the restaurants and public transport. Hotel for sure should not have 3 stars. Room on the first floor and as you can see from the pictures, it wasn’t double bed as requested and falling apart, old bed sheets with a holes, room with a “view“ on the “terrace/patio/wall?”, very bad condition bathroom with clogged sink.
Reception which is open until 10pm is sharing space with the restaurant which is open until 1-2am...as it is old building the walls are thin and you can hear all the noise (loud music, singing, karaoke, shouting etc).
In the morning 5-6am I could hear cleaners laughing all around and delivery to the restaurant.
When asked for a manager, receptionist called him/her and said that the manager will be with me in 45min (9am) in my room. I waited in my room until 11 and on my wait out from the hotel the receptionist just smiled and didn’t said anything. That’s the perfect customer service.
On the website it says that hotel has got two swimming pools (in/outdoor) which is not true!! This hotel is using pictures from its sister hotel which is just by the corner and I can say that this one it is 3 stars hotel. Bunch of liars and unprofessional people. AVOID THIS PLACE unless u don’t mind a 3 stars HOSTEL not hotel.
