Ocean Villas Hotel in Grand Bay

Property was very good for a family. We took 2 separate rooms. Staff were accommodating to give us rooms adjacent to each other. Rooms were spacious. Good restaurant in the property and breakfast was included. Though lunch was a bit expensive. Has a private beach and some activities included in the price which was a plus.

The only negative which needs to be taken care of is that the toilet has no door to separate it from the bathroom or from the bedroom also. While this may have been done keeping honeymoon couples in mind it does create foul smell in the room as there is no exhaust.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with the hotel. It's important to understand that this is a three-star property, and it truly lives up to that rating. Don't expect anything more than what is offered here. I would say this hotel is more of a club-style accommodation, making it especially suitable for the Mauritian summer, as the weather here can be quite windy and even a bit cool at times.

The service is excellent, with very attentive and responsive staff. The breakfast and dinner buffets are diverse and delicious, featuring a wide selection of dishes tailored to European tourists. The hotel is not new, and some renovation work is ongoing in certain areas.

The beach is small but well-equipped and atmospheric. Upon entering the sea, there are some stones at first, but then you can swim comfortably. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much; however, I would appreciate better cleaning in the rooms and some renovations to update the rooms' interiors.

In the end, I liked the hotel. It's a good, small hotel with its own beach. There's a wonderful restaurant (for a fee). The hotel offers water trips (free). Very friendly staff. I liked the Balinese massage (not expensive). Budget-friendly and family-friendly.

Ocean villas hotel is an amazing property,even though the property could do with a fresh coat of paint and a bit of fixing,the warm hospitality makes up for it.Extremely pleasant staff esp Tanuja and Emily at reception,and all others who made our 3 night stay pleasant.While booking it’s advisable to book Half Board since there is a very good restaurant at the hotel which serves a decent menu and also has live music.The spa is a must try and pls book in advance.Overall extremely happy with the stay !!!

We were pleasantly surprised that the family villa had a lot of space and two small balconies.
In the complex right on the beach there is a lovely restaurant decorated in a boho style and the staff everywhere are very friendly.

We had family villa 201, which was beautifully furnished. 2 bedrooms, a small living room and a bathroom with a toilet and shower were good.

We stayed here comfortably and safely without any noise disturbance.

Important! You had to hand in the key to the villa at reception so that the apartment could be cleaned and the beds made. There is no spare key?!

Little cozy hotel with great food.
Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food.
All the meat dishes were juicy and well cooked. The ribs were so well cooked that we could pull the flesh from the bones with absolutely no effort.
The roast pork belly had tender flesh and crispy skin. Perfect.
