Reviews
Even when there was an electric failure they immediately settled it with a beautiful room in their partner hotel.
Beautiful natural place with a lot of trees and the sound of the waves
Beside the beach
Polite staff
Some restaurants and a mini market close.

Google photos show a pool. There is no pool at this Coco...
Breakfast ok but more like cheap hostel breakfast! Quite ordinary for a room of this price.
Definitely need maintenance and love. Feels like the owners have abandoned the place and decided to put love and money in their new building.
In the room
- Broken toilet (we always had to remove the lid to be able to flush).
- 2 broken lights in the room.
- Broken patio door.
Relaxing on our patio was a bit difficult as they were doing some construction on the next room. We also rum out of water for some hours and couldn't use our toilet or wash ourselves. We can understand both situations, but then the hotel should not rent a room next the one with construction or make a better price for the inconvenience. The manager did not even come to meet us, excuse and explain to us or make an arrangement... kind of lack of respect towards clients.
Overall : not worth the price! Nice place, but really too expensive for what they offer. Find cheaper and you will be as happy. There is nothing that can justify to charge so much (I paid the price thinking there was a pool...).
I had my own room and felt completely safe.
I loved my room and the beach was so clean. I was lucky no seaweed here. They do an amazing job cleaning the beach.
I so grateful for the air conditioner as the weather was very hot humid days.
Staff helped with getting a rent a car and making dinner reservations for me
I must stay if you are staying at the beach side of Tulum.
Some friends that were staying in one of the beach huts had a rat infestation in their roof and another guest had his passport stolen from his lock box.
Sadly, I was overcharged for my stay and months later, after numerous promises that I will be contacted the next day, I am still waiting for the issue to be sorted out.
Won’t be going back. Plenty of other places to choose from.

Atmosphere is great, Dj’s and live music makes Beso a different experience, not just the food.
Definitely the best Spanish kitchen of Tulum, as good as the one in Formentera Spain.
Recommended: Ceviche, Paella to share, and grill cured chop “Chuleton”!!
Service: granted it was opening night, so things will hopefully vary in the future as this place gets its act together. Our waiter(s) were great and very attentive. The issue arose when we reviewed our bill to find an extra paella dish and bread charge for items that we did not order. When we brought this to the wait staff attention, the waitress tried to argue menu language semantics that were clearly incorrect. When we had her bring out the manager, he double downed and refused to remove the unordered items off of the bill. We essentially took a stance that we would not leave until this was resolved. After about 45 minutes of arguing and waiting, arguing and waiting, and so on, it was, but all of this was avoidable and unnecessary.
Here is the issue and a warning to anyone not from Spain coming here:
The description for the paella heading says something along the lines of ‘great for sharing for two or more people’. My girlfriend ordered the Croquet (as her entree) and I was recommended the paella. The server highly recommended that we share the paella dish as well and my girlfriend agreed to trying some. Apparently in Spain they charge per person for paella (which was their entire argument basis for the charge) and is not explicit on the menu. The menu items just has a price next to the dish (as all menus do). They’re entire argument is that ‘this is how we do this in spain’ and ‘it says great for sharing for 2 or more people’. I tried to be constructive and let them know that they are not in Spain and neither are their customers and need to note a ‘per plate’ or ‘per person’ charge on the menu. But they told us it doesn’t matter and we need to pay for the 2 dishes. Also, when we told the waitress that we did not order the bread that was brought out to us, which we assumed was complementary, her response was ‘did you eat the bread’ in which we responded ‘yes’ in which she responded ‘then you need to pay for it’.
All in all we all kept our cool and everything was eventually resolved. This was an above and no beyond fail on customer service and ruined our experience, which otherwise would have been a great evening.
I really want to believe that this was a purposeful mistake and not a tourist predatory business. After talking with the wait staff and manager, I get the feeling towards the latter and caution anyone coming here. I hope I am wrong though and they will change their service and menu pricing descriptions by the time you read this!
View of Tulum. Great place. And most stop.
The food was above average. Pasta in Tulum is not expected and it was good. I️ had the lobster special which was ~$40. The pasta was really good, but the lobster was average.
Without a doubt would come back.
