Hotels on first line in Tulum

The sea view rooms offer panoramic ocean views. The waves can be quite strong, so most guests prefer to stay by the swimming pool

This is an independent resort, quite a distance from the airport, so it's best to have your own rental car. Dinner requires a reservation, while lunch and breakfast are served buffet style with plenty of options

We had a great time! Plenty of activities to do in plenty of things to see oh just a wonderful location. My only complaint is I was in Kassav four and the ice machine was never repaired the week I was there

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya! Everything has been absolutely perfect—the breathtaking nature, the abundance of wildlife, and the top-notch food and drinks

The location is inconvenient; you can only rely on local taxis, which are very expensive, and there's no Uber available. I'd recommend staying in Cancun next time you visit Tulum

I have to make that statement because it’s such an inconvenience to go to the other castles or qualifies so it’s all a complaint,

We also visited the spa and had a massage and facial. They were a nice add to a wonderful relaxing wedding weekend

Everything was good at this resort food personal the people in the lobby restaurants bars etc it was amazing

There was one time the world cafe took a long time to seat me, when the restaurant wasn’t full and I didn’t have much time

I had an amazing time at Dreams Tulum Resort — the property is beautiful, the vibe is relaxing, and the staff made my stay really special. The rooms and grounds were gorgeous, and I truly enjoyed the overall experience

Rooms were clean, a little dated. Restaurants were good & staff at these restaurants were great. However our experience with the staff in the world cafe was hit & miss

If I had one small piece of feedback, I’d recommend choosing the restaurants over the buffet — the restaurant food was definitely better in quality and flavor

Very much enjoyed my stay at Be tulum. Staff was attentive and polite, rooms were as shown very spacious and secluded

The staff are knowledgeable about the local offerings, and even took time out of the dinner hour to bring a group of recently hatched turtles to the beach! Amazing experience all around

Great hotel! Good service but expensive restaurants, Chicago downtown prices!

Beautiful resort and the staff was amazing! Ivan, Bill, Ramon and the rest of the staff made our stay so relaxing. Gracias por todo!

It was private, surrounded by palm trees and the concrete and wood gave it a soothing minimalist feel that was so relaxing and comforting. The best part was the private rooftop deck and plunge pool

The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by nature and right on a beautiful stretch of beach, perfect for a quiet morning walk or watching the sunset

The beach was gorgeous, as always, and we were thrilled to find no sargasso seaweed during our visit. The spa was incredible, offering a range of traditional Mexican treatments focused on deep relaxation and healing

There’s Japanese, Mediterranean, and an open-air beachfront restaurant, La Popular Nômade Temple, which offers fresh fish from the Caribbean Sea and a dining experience rooted in simplicity and connection to nature

The rooms are beautiful—rustic yet refined—with plunge pools, thoughtful décor, and all the amenities you could need, from blow dryers and robes to additional curated items available for purchase

A Truly Restorative Stay — Our Home Away From Home This was our second time staying here, and we would absolutely return again. From the moment we arrived, it felt like coming home. It’s the perfect place to recharge

We were welcomed with a delicious, health-conscious drink that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The front-desk staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind

Everything we ordered was not only beautifully plated but delicious. The servers were attentive, helpful, and incredibly warm—many even remembered us by name

The staff at Kore were amazing! Came during off season and it was HUMID the hotel had great AC in rooms the pool was always clean and again the staff were so kind

It’s less people so enjoy the quiet. You will have the pool to yourself and the restaurants too. That comes with its own issues, less variety in some instances. But the bigger pla

Only complaint was due to off season the hotels menu was so limited!

Lastly, while the property is right in front of the beach, there’s no direct beach access as it sits on a rocky shoreline

The pictures made it seem way cooler than it was. The bikes were rusted and falling apart, totally unsafe to ride

The staff was really friendly I walked into the kitchen at close and was going to get food somewhere else but they sat me and my fiancée down and made us a Togo dinner and don’t be afraid of renting a scooter and exploring tulum it’s very safe just be respectful

The room was excellent, exceeding our expectations, and the restaurant was delicious. The only downside was the abundance of mosquitoes, probably due to the rainy season

Very new hotel! Wonderful room and fantastic service from the whole team! We were greeted with a delicious welcome cocktail! The hotel pools (both the one on the first floor and the one on the top floor) are delightful! Water at a perfect temperature! Very tasty breakfast! At the end of the day there's a "social hour" where the hotel welcomes guests with cocktails and canapés! Everything...

This hotel is far from the beach and definitely showing its age. Not a large property n has seen better days. Still, the staff try their best, are friendly and really the saving grace of the property

Breakfast variety is somewhat limited

Our sink was clogged and the manager had to try to unclog it because no one else was there. There are lots of mosquitoes and flies that bite around the pool

The room facilities are good, the bed is big, you can also borrow bicycles for free, the business center service is also very good, the overall experience is very good👍

Excellent service, beautiful rooms, great food, amazing beach and sunrise!

Clean and beautiful room, staff was great, overall clean hotel. The restaurant onsite was good. The beach was nice. Overall great place to stay

Gorgeous, well appointed rooms. Incredible, professional, helpful staff We booked three rooms and stayed four nights I wish we could add more stars. We will be back again and again

The restaurant that’s part of Tago, right on the beach, was perfect for our beach days. The views were the best on the beach, hands down

My only feedback is the beach needs more umbrellas for shade and sometimes the sulphur smell on the beach is quite strong

We loved the hotel and the room very beautiful bathroom and private pool. The customer service from the hotel was extremely poor, they tried to make us pay 500 pesos per day for bikes when next door they were 200

Very cute hotel, close to everything. We stayed on the second floor in what looks like a newer building. They brought coffee to us every morning in a basket. The attached restaurant/beach side was soooooo good

The hotel’s location is beachfront, which is perfect for travelers. The room is well-ventilated. The only problem is the parking logistics.

Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, hotel is very unique right on the beach, breakfast and juices are wonderful. Check in process needs improvement.

Hotel is location is perfect, with beech front access, with plenty of bars & restaurants within walking distance. Room was good with a very cold plunge pool & separate seating area to relax

Unfortunately due to shortage of staff, bars located by pools were not open, therefore no ability to get drinks or food there which was a bit disappointing

I truly felt like I was catered to and all of their amenities were fantastic. Their pictures did not do the reality justice. Fantastic food with both restaurants. We are already planning our return

Property is absolutely gorgeous, multiple pools overlooking the beach, great service. Jay ass super helpful during our stay!

Everything was amazing! It was the best of both worlds being able to walk in the Mayan jungle on property but also being right on the beach

Our casita was beautiful and clean and well maintained and we loved having our own private pool with ocean views

My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at Papaya Playa and the experience blew us away. The staff’s service was exceptional and they made us feel right at home

We had a jungle casita with a rooftop pool. The rooftop pool was a great decision, I was in it every morning and night while we were there. We were nested slightly in the jungle, a perfect distance away from the beach

Specifically, I would like to mention Santos, who went above and beyond to make our stay special. The property is quiet and tranquil, and the party on Saturday was the best time I’ve ever had! 10/10 would recommend

They also have a small restaurant which serve amazing Italian and seafood dishes along THE BEST wood fired Owen pizza

Read if you want a detailed and honest review! If you’re planning a trip to Tulum, MIA Resort is an amazing place to stay The design and detail of the resort is breathtaking, especially if you love taking photos

There’s so many great things to say about MIA and my wife and I couldn’t recommend it enough. We celebrated my wife’s birthday here and had such a memorable experience. Already looking forward to coming back someday

Every meal we’ve had here, especially dinner was AMAZING! Juan was our server for dinner on our last night and he was so knowledgeable with the area and history of tulum. He was so sweet and especially FUNNY

We chose beach beds as far away from the music as we could and when there was a bit of a breeze it was totally fine. But on a calm day it was just so loud

I don’t speak Spanish and I felt right at home because most of the staff speaks English as well. The kindness and attentiveness that we’ve received while staying here from the staff was amazing

Very good service, excellent food, abundant à la carte breakfast, charming staff. Exotic setting under palm trees on the seafront. Very pleasant.

It was our second visit, and we are still happy to come here. They even remembered us, from last time, which makes you feeling home. Everything is always nice from service thru the people.

We stayed in an ocean view room, Agua de Mar. it was large, lovely, with a gorgeous view and private plunge pool. The staff was wonderful! The property was very lovely

Great location. Spacious, clean rooms (not ocean view—those rooms are quite small). Friendly staff, but slow service and often inaccurate (food and beverage). Good value.

Had a great time, has a little gym which was a nice surprise, and a little kids play area on the beach. Service was excellent, highly recommend Wiliam our server at breakfast

(We saw a group of fully geared Marine squad including their M16, patrolling the beach. I thought I was in an episode of Seals) Overall we had a good but not excellent experience that would make me want to go back

My wife and I loved our stay here. We walked through sand from the lobby to our room and then out our sliding door with views of the ocean less than 50' to our own private pool and day bed

Beautiful hotel! It’s literally on the beach. All the floors are sand except the rooms and the lobby area. All the rooms have a view of the beach and easy access to the beach

Their steam room, dry suana, and hot and cold plunge pools are fantastic, and they give you one complimentary Hydrotherapy session

Loved the staff and property itself. Our room and conditions were amazing. Only downside was the seaweed issue on the beach front - other wise beautiful stay.

Would definitely return to this place. The rooms are well appointed and luxurious. The beach clean and looked after, and the hotel perfectly placed right on the beach. The breakfasts are incredible

The Beach Tulum Hotel is fantastic, it is super clean, the staff is absolutely superb and they go out of their way to help you

loved this place! if you're looking for the perfect CENTRAL location that is literally right in the hot spot for food and energy, but there's no beach club which can be Seriously loud and overwhelming on the beach, the pool and the sleep= then try this place

no beach club, great restaurant and awesome people. good pool too! also the Beach chairs are somehow plentiful enough that. you dont have to worry about getting out there to save one, and they're free!

We had a great time at Hotel Cabanas Tulum. The property is right on the beach, the rooms were immaculate and the entire staff was very friendly and welcoming

Nice relaxing vibe. Pool is decent sized. Food is also pretty good. Service was good. No real complaints. Convenient beach access

Everything was amazing for our girls weekend. It is perfect oasis to retreat from the busy and bustling beach restaurants and bars. We loved it! The service was amazing and every little detail was considered

Even though the ocean wasn’t great because of the sargassum, we still had a wonderful time in Tulum. I’d definitely recommend visiting between October and March for better beach conditions

The people/service are fantastic. Great location for diving/snorkeling/diving. Clean, great food at their resaurant with close proximity to other choices. Breakfast included which is also wonderful

We had a really lovely stay here for the last couple of days of our trip to Mexico. The hotel is peaceful and quiet, with a gorgeous view, good-sized rooms and very comfortable beds

It is a little dated in places, but overall it is very comfortable and the property itself is beautiful. The private beach and dock area are perfect, and the two pools were a real highlight

If the big, all-inclusive hotels are too touristy for you, this could be a great choice. We felt very safe here, the hotel is on a private road with a guard shack so limited traffic and easy to walk along daily

Keep in mind, being outside the main hotel zone food options are limited to a few hotels unless you have a car to drive into town or to the hotel zone - so we recommend renting a car or scooter

Special mention to Eduardo on the front desk, who was exceptionally friendly and went out of his way to help us. Also a big thank you to the chef, who came out to explain the menu

Oceanfront with piers accessible to guests. Beautiful, clean swimming pool with hanging chairs and waterfall. Restaurant on-site with delicious food. I highly recommend the massage

Amazing experience friendly staff beautiful view breakfast was ok but pool was astonishing. Fre Kayak and snorkeling equipment are big added values. Enjoy your travel to this beautiful place

Top notch service Picturesque hotel I booked it for my photoshoot. Location is in a more remote part of Tulum not the most accessible but on the upside food was more reasonabley priced than other hotels

Slept very well! Very quaint hotel that was close to a couple of restaurants, which were phenomenal

Also the tours they recommend are very good

The Customer service was above & beyond

Loved the hotel and our room design and view, beautiful beach with white sand. No seaweed excellent service, food and drink quality. Friendly and super nice staff

Our room was spotless, cozy, and had a partial ocean view. Beach club seating is guaranteed for guests (huge win)

They offered breakfast and restaurant credit which we took! When we arrived, we instantly forgot about the pool. The staff is unbelievably kind. welcome drinks, a full tour, and the whole property is gorgeous

Was our first time in Tulum and had the most wonderful experience

I did hours of research wanting something chill, safe, beachfront, and actually giving jungle vibes

We were offered a free room upgrade which was so fabulous however both rooms were equally beautiful and spotless and had the true Tulum feel. The restaurant/beach staff couldn’t have been nicer

From tours of the local cenotes and ancient ruins, to in house ceremonies including cocoa singing bowls ceremony and tezmecal, it is all excellent! The variety and optional experiences make it a great way for individuals in the group to cater to their own needs and interests

This was my second year organising a retreat at Amansala, and it was even more wonderful than the first year! The facilities are amazing, from the ocean view yoga studio, to the open air restaurant, to the clean and comfortable rooms

Right on the beach, beautiful water, a long strip to walk down that is not over built so you can fully embrace the nature! Their extra services and guided tours are diverse and excellent

Perfect property for our Yoga and Wellness Retreat. Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Max, Enrique and Sergio made our stay so memorable and were perfect gentleman

The staff are truly outstanding. From A to Z they make retreat organising effortless, the guests feel welcome and accommodated, and they are ready with a smile

Darlene, Melissa and Yolanda were angels and left a lasting impression on my heart. The staff was beyond helpful and offered genuine, exceptional service

During our beach days at Pocna, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. They always greeted us with a smile and made us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors

The prices on Tulum Beach are like US prices- pretty high. You’re only a few miles from the town, grocery stores, and many restaurants, and some rent bicycle. Renting a car is cheap and convenient

I snorkeled one day (only 200 pesos if you walk down the beach to the locals), and though the reef isn’t very healthy, there were turtles, rays and some colorful fish! They also offer massages and facials on- site

The rooms are clean, large and comfortable, with no TVs, so you can truly unplug and relax. I love the hammocks on the lanais of the beachside bungalows

This place is great! Beautiful beach, and amazing daily sunrise yoga with Brenda. I also stayed here in December 2025 and couldn’t wait to return

It’s rare to meet people who make such a positive impact on your vacation, but Juan and Jorge absolutely did. They made our stay unforgettable. This was my first time in Mexico, but it definitely won’t be my last

Sunbeds are easy to get either by the pool or on the beach with towels always readily available. The food in the restaurant is delicious, with a good range of options - The pasta dishes are superb

A simply amazing hotel in a quiet, relaxing location. You can walk to the pool or beach within a minute from your room. It's incredibly quiet and peaceful with it's own little cove

The sea experience is incredible: kayaks, SUPs, and snorkel equipment allow you to explore the beautiful reef of Soliman Bay, spotting lobsters, stingrays, barracudas, parrotfish, and more

Breakfast is excellent too, with the fruit platter and bread basket a wonderful starter. The front desk team are very attentive and helpful. You get a tour of the facility on arrival, as well as welcome drinks

Breakfast is excellent, with high-quality ingredients and many options, from fresh yogurt with granola and honey to perfectly prepared eggs and delicious Mexican-style breakfasts

All of the restaurant staff are incredibly friendly too and are very impressive at remembering your room number - special shout out to Juan, Gilberto and Ulises

For sure, this is a place best suited for a specific clientele

The hotel stay was okay I mean it is beautiful. However, they don’t offer welcome drinks even with the high price it costs. If you are an influencer or you have a blog, you can’t fly a drone

They can’t even send you pictures or videos either. The bathtubs are dirty as they are made from mosaic and I don’t think they scrub them. It is not wheelchair friendly

The room was very comfortable, though privacy was a bit lacking. However, embracing nature and experiencing Mayan culture was incredibly artistic, and the service was excellent.

The beach was shared with other resorts and though the resort is kid-free, kids did wander into the Azulik side of the beach which caused Azulik staff to hover but not do anything

You can’t flush toilet paper as it’s an eco friendly resort. To be honest it was a waste of money I wouldn’t come here again
