Hotel Pocna in Tulum

My first trip to Mexico was an incredible experience, and staying here made it even more special. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The location is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is truly outstanding. Every member of the team made us feel welcome and well taken care of. I want to give a very special thank you to Juan and Jorge. They are simply amazing and truly the highlight of our stay. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm made every day better. During our beach days at Pocna, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. They always greeted us with a smile and made us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors. It’s rare to meet people who make such a positive impact on your vacation, but Juan and Jorge absolutely did. They made our stay unforgettable. This was my first time in Mexico, but it definitely won’t be my last. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for exceptional service, a beautiful setting, and a truly memorable experience.

This place is great! Beautiful beach, and amazing daily sunrise yoga with Brenda. I also stayed here in December 2025 and couldn’t wait to return. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable, with no TVs, so you can truly unplug and relax. I love the hammocks on the lanais of the beachside bungalows. WiFi is spotty away from the beach/ restaurants, so download your necessities. Everything is very conveniently located. The restaurant staff remembered me (today was Gerardo, Gustavo and Victoria), and the front desk people as well. Edgar said “welcome home” when I checked in this time. I saw complaints about the food so thought I’d mention that you get to choose anything off the breakfast menu, and the portions are generous. You also get juice (typically melon or piña) and coffee. I’ll add pics. The prices on Tulum Beach are like US prices- pretty high. You’re only a few miles from the town, grocery stores, and many restaurants, and some rent bicycle. Renting a car is cheap and convenient. You can visit the ruins nearby, or walk the beach daily with very little attention/ disturbances from people selling things. I snorkeled one day (only 200 pesos if you walk down the beach to the locals), and though the reef isn’t very healthy, there were turtles, rays and some colorful fish! They also offer massages and facials on- site. Many couples visit here, and young families- mostly European. I love Hotel Pocna, which is why I wrote such a long review!

Pocna is a very special hotel in Tulum, beautiful room,s amazing beach, 2 great restaurants, Japanese and Mexican fusion, very friendly service, we just loved our stay.

We had a wonderful time! The atmosphere is delightfully relaxed and the location is beautiful—definitely much quieter and more pleasant than the party hotel zone. As a lovely surprise, we received a complimentary room upgrade upon arrival! The staff is extremely friendly. A big thank you to Orfe and the attentive reception team for the service and the great tips, as well as to the waiters Juán and Gerardo and many more! Only one little request: A bit more varied playlist in the restaurant would be wonderful! 😉

What a place! Absolutely beautiful setting, gorgeous accommodation and such kind and attentive staff. The perfect start to our time in Mexico. We stayed for 6 nights and for the majority of the time had the pool to ourselves - sunbathing while listening to the sound of the ocean was wonderful! Monday-Friday early morning Yoga classes are included and Brenda (Yoga instructor) was lovely. The staff at reception - José and Edgar - were very well informed and helpful. Daily beach towel exchange and unlimited drinking water available at reception throughout our stay. The restaurant staff were unanimously friendly and polite and very attentive - shout out to Juan who was wonderful! Delicious food and cocktails. Thank you Hotel Pocna!

We had a wonderful stay at Poc Na Tulum. The restaurant was great, and Juan in particular was very attentive and a fantastic waiter. Thank you very much!

I was hoping for some peace and quiet and the serenity in the jungle but I got so much more. (1) 7am yoga, amazing breakfasts, water refills, even daily park wristbands, nespresso coffee maker with regular and decaf options, Bluetooth speaker in the room - all included. (2) impeccable service - front desk check-in and checkout arrangements (got me a lunch box for an early checkout and a cheaper taxi); shout-out to Edgar and Jose. Service at à restaurant is friendly and attentive, never pushy - shoutout to Juan, he’s making it feel you are being hosted by a dear friend. Any questions? You can WhatsApp front desk. Amazing. (3) seaweed season makes it less crowded, so take advantage y’all; seaweed is cleaned daily and depending on the current I even managed to swim in a fairly clean water 2 days out of 4. (4) pool, hammocks and beach area are all amazing for decompressing and watching the sunset/sunrise or reading à book (5) bikes for rent are $300 MXN per day and allowed me to check out Tulum without paying for a cab or a scooter. (6) wifi in the restaurant and on the beach is strong enough to take video calls. I don’t really care for wifi in the room, I’d rather relax. (7) the path to my room is literally a small jungle, and made me so excited every time I got to go throw baby palm trees or see a raccoon. I’ll certainly be back.

We enjoyed the time at the hotel. Wonderfull pool atmosphere and good tasting food at the hotel restaurant. The people at the hotel and at the restaurant are very friendly. Especially Juan from the restaurant. For our negative experience, there was many seeweed at the beach. But the hotel can‘t influence this.

Really good experience and especially because they have the best and most helpful waiter Juan. Nice view, but the Meat in the restaurant was not so god.
