Courtyard Hotel in Chisinau

Stay away if you're expecting to sleep at night.

Stayed with the family in this hotel for three nights. We had three rooms on the 2nd floor. I'm a Gold Elite Marriott member but the hotel said they were fully booked so they could not find us rooms in higher floors. (Breakfast, elevator traffic and parking were quite low...)

On the first night in the evening we started hearing loud club-style noise. Walls were shaking. people shouting. This was the day we've arrived at Moldova and we were very tired. Noise continued until about midnight when we could finally go to sleep.

In the morning I've talked with the receptionists which apologized and said that they will talk with the manager. They also said that there should not be other parties on the rest of our stay.

Evening came and music started again. It was even louder than the day before. I went down to speak with the shift manager. She apologized and said that she do not have rooms in higher floors. She promised that the noise should end by 11p. at 10p+ the music stopped for a while and at that time a plate with fruits and wine was sent to our rooms. A while after the music resumed and lasted till midnight.

The day after another fruit plate was sent to the rooms.

The hotel does not respect the simple fact that it is a hotel and customers that pay for room expect to be able to sleep QUIETLY.

However, it seems that the hotel cares more about additional income from parties.

So I don't know how quieter other floors are, but if you plan on staying in this hotel, do not accept any room on the 2nd floor and do not trust their promises that no parties are expected during your stay.
