Camp Inn Hotel in Amsterdam

If you see this review: RUN FROM THIS HOTEL. If you care even a little about respectful customer service and a clean room.
The people at the front desk were nonchalant, cold, and unprofessional—something I have never seen before. Due to a misunderstanding, one of the receptionists lost her temper and raised her voice at me. She kept interrupting me constantly. I eventually took the key and went to my room. It smelled musty (certainly due to the lack of a window, but the ventilation was very poor), and there were quite a lot of hairs on the bathroom floor.

I didn’t want to pay attention to the (many) negative reviews because there were still a few good ones. Knowing I was only staying for three nights, I told myself it would be fine. But even one night was too much.

For the first time in my life, I chose to leave the hotel, because a safe and caring environment should not be a luxury!!

Worst hotel I‘ve ever been.
Our room was dirty and the bathroom smelled very bad. There was no glass in the shower which was next to the WC. The air was very bad and the AC blew the bad smell from bathroom into the bedroom.
After complaining multiple times and waiting for several hours!! we did no get another room. The employee told us, that they solved the problem and didn‘t care at all. They just sprayed chemicals in the shower waste so it smelled even worse. We didnt get our money back and had to book another hotel last minute. Breakfast was ok but I had a hair in my food. Do yourself a favor and don‘t book this hotel!

Super small, uncomfortable room with no windows, makes you feel in the prison. The AC was not properly work either so refresh the air inside the room! The room was very dirty, the WC was not even completely clean for the new guest! I even dis not feel good to use the WC and the shower (which I did not anyways). The photos are completely different than its reality. I came there alone but the whole time, a bunch of men were standing in front of entrance, smoking and staring at you weirdly which was super uncomfortable, as a female, to just pass through this bunch of guys the whole time! AND There was just no stuff in the reception. I had to go to another branch to check in. For this dirty, uncomfortable room, the price was too much. I booked here a room and I even did not sleep that one night and left after some hours. Waste of money.

Absolutely terrible. The room looked nothing like the pictures. Both the room and the bathroom were dirty, it smelled awful, and the air was very stuffy since the windows couldn’t even be opened. Customer service was extremely poor. There were stains everywhere, and both the staff and the whole hotel felt very strange. Do not book this hotel under any circumstances. There were also weird noises during the night. Save your money – online they describe something completely different, but in reality it was a huge disappointment.

My partner and I stayed in The Camp Inn Hotel for two nights, and we do not recommend it! The price was way too high for the quality of the place, and we did not get the room, we booked. There was a queen-size bed with only one single duvet, although we booked for two people. Luckily, we brought a sleeping bag for the bus journey there, which I ended up using, while my partner used the single duvet... The room was small and compact with an internal window to the hallway, which was not clear in the booking description. It was not possible to get fresh air in the room. There were no hooks for hanging towels in the bathroom, and no hangers to store clothes - I asked for some in the reception, but never got them. I am allergic to gluten and lactose, which I noted in the booking comments and further wrote in an e-mail to the hotel 2 weeks in advance. Upon arrival, I made sure with the reception staff that they would be able to accommodate my allergies during breakfast the following day. They ensured me this was no problem! However, it turned out they were not able to accommodate these needs, and when I asked the staff during breakfast, they seemed arrogant and told me to have some fruit. A bit disappointing, when I made an effort to contact them via e-mail long in advance and double checked with the reception. Perhaps the experience would have been acceptable, if the price was reasonable, but €300 for two nights was definitely not worth it! We will return to Amsterdam, but will never use this hotel again or recommend it to anyone. I gave it 2 stars, as they let us store our backpacks in their storage room for free, the kitchen lady was nice, and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel service is not good. The curtains in the room do not fit the windows. Outside the windows is the corridor. I am worried about privacy issues. The sound insulation is not good. The walls and floors are dirty. I wonder if they have cleaned them. The bathroom seems to be quite good. However, there is no dry and wet separation in the bathroom, the water level is very slow, and the washbasin is very small. Even if it is a student travel party, it is strongly not recommended. It is not convenient to the city center! careful! ! !
