Enjoyed the swimming pool refreshment, the breakfast (of course with it's price) , the bed, shower and working airco. Plenty of parking space and walking distance ((10 mins)) to bars, restaurants and some shops. Challenge when you are de situ e for noise. Even asking a silent room, the highway can be heard well. Be aware. During stay, the elevator was broken, but only a small handicap with the suitcases

I liked the hotel, the area around it was stunning. The staff was very helpful and polite. Dinner was delicious. The only downside was the room. Not as spacious as other rooms I stayed in (similar category) in the Netherlands. Also, there was no AC, nor could we open the window for air circulation because it overlooked the inner courtyard of the hotel (no privacy).

We loved this hotel! The room was huge, with an amazing tub in the bedroom. The pool and jacuzzi were so relaxing. Everything was perfect, from the service to the ambiance. Best hotel stay ever! We highly recommend this hotel for your next get away.

What an exceptional staff, especially the concierge . . This property is in a great location. However, it has some quirks. Some issues with electricity and the rooftop bar is not always open. Check hours.

Got a fire alarm in the middle of the night which seriously affected the rest, the hotel did nothing but just an apology letter, staffs are generally not proactive and not so friendly.

We had an amazing 1 night stay. Beautiful rooms, very friendly and helpful staff in all areas. We were able to get into the room a little early and they also gave us a late checkout because of my diamond status. The upgraded room with a view was much appreciated also. Free parking in a garage attached to the hotel is very nice and convenient. Rooms are spacious and modern. Nice views and the breakfast was excellent! Easy transport with a bus stop near by or the train station. Walking or biking is also easy to do. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel, corner room offers great views of the city. Shower works great! Bar and restaurant staff are slow and do not offer to refill drinks or acknowledge customers but this was the only minus for the property.

Front desk staff was courteous and professional. The corner room on the ninth floor had a great view. Open bathroom is a little strange and toilet is extremely small. Compared to other van der Valk properties this one ranks much lower than others. Very slow internet, little choice of TV stations, no streaming services etc.

This is a nice hotel in a lovely town, just a short stroll to shops, restaurants and a beautiful beach. On arrival we were given our room earlier than advertised which was a great start. Our stay was perfect! The room was very comfortable and we benefited from a free upgrade which was a good surprise. I visited the Leonardo Hotel with my 10-year old daughter for two nights and we loved it. The people are very friends and helpful. We had a very nice room with a view over the city and a bath. The breakfast was good with lots of choices. And it’s nice that there is a swimming pool. Tram 1 stops directly at the hotel, so it’s easy to go to the city center or to Scheveningen.

I liked that there is a very large selection in the breakfast room and that the overall design of the hotel is very good. What I did not like was the very long waiting time at the reception. What is completely unacceptable, however, is the cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom. I booked this for a friend who's going on a business trip. The location was conveniently close to their destination, the service was good, and the facilities were okay.

It is my 4th or 5th stay at this hotel. It is good and practical to explore Leiden and get to Schiphol airport. Rooms are big enough for two persons. This time we stayed on the 11th floor. It is more cumbersome to get there as you have to change elevators, but the room was more spacious. The newly renovated reception looks good.

For the 4 nights I stayed, they didn't make up my room before the last night.

The hotel's location is perfect, but the service leaves much to be desired. They don't respect the "Do Not Disturb" sign. The internet connection is bad, so it's impossible to work in the hotel. Honestly, this was a bit of a let down. When we walked into the room, we were hit with the smell of wet dog. Then the two twin beds pushed together made snuggling impossible - you either lay 1m apart, or you risk falling down the crack. Everything about the room and the hotel was outdated. The lift sounded like the cables were going to snap at any given moment. And the breakfast was kinda average....

Cozy Room Reservation I was initially assigned a loft-style room. It was pretty and cozy, but it was cold. So, I changed rooms. The one I was given was on the third floor, in the middle, so it was warm. The breakfast was amazing. It was incredibly delicious.

A bit remote from Arnhem but still accessible with public transport. The place was serene and has good paths to the woods.

They were very strict about check-in. Check-in was at 3:00 PM and not a minute earlier. The room was clean and had a nice view.

The service was great. The front desk employee took good care of me, so thanks to him. Only the bathroom hygiene could have been a bit better, and the sheets could have been washed a bit better. But otherwise, it was a peaceful place.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic location. Clean rooms and friendly staff. I'd also like to give a tip about making the beds. It's bad. The bottom sheet keeps sliding off, leaving you lying on the bare mattress. There's also no mattress protector around it, very unhygienic. A bottom sheet with elastic would save a lot of frustration.

Great location and clean facilities. We booked a room with 2 single beds received one double bed however. When asked about it the response was all rooms with single beds are booked out.

I've been only to the spa and even if the facilities are beautiful and very well maintained, I found it expensive for the few services they offer included in the price. It's mainly one big indoor and outdoor swimming pool with several big jacuzzi's. There's just one small sauna and hamam for that amount of visitors. That was not nice. No option to sit since everything was full, no chairs available...

There are a variety of pools including 37 degrees, and a 34 degree salt water float pool… both amazing experiences and quite unusual. Limited transport to the hotel

It’s a great hotel, very spacious rooms, nice interior design in the main entrance and areas, the whole vibe is luxurious and modern. The beds are comfortable, the personnel is friendly and professional, the food is really good. Then the area around is so beautiful, definitely go to park de Hoge Veluwe and take a bike, or go for a hike. Stunning!

I feel I overpaid for the room based on the following: Room was not clean. Sheets had dirt on them and the walls in washroom area were greasy. Shower was missing glass and it made a mess while showering. No breakfast was included even at this room price. The breakfast buffet was amazing! 10/10

Super dated room. Bathroom looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 70s. The room smelled of sweaty feet and wouldn't air out. Popcorn ceiling and walls with no decorations made it look slightly more cheery than a jail cell. On top of all that, the walls were paper thin and you could hear everything your neighbors were doing and when they were walking on the floor above. Would never stay here...

The hotel is comfortably situated near the beach but not to far from the center. You can take a bus from/ to the harbor which is free of charge for the hotel guests. The rooms are spacious clean and need. The only thing missing was air conditioning and a fridge. Tasty breakfast with enough choice (also fruit). The hotel was right on the beach. Our room could access directly into the dunes. Great sunsets every night (from beach not room). Ever been to a hotel where the web site totally oversells it? Less common is the opposite and that would be the Hotel Opduin. When I booked it, looking at the website I presumed a charming (and perhaps slightly run down) hotel nestling near the dunes.
