The room was spacious. It took about 15-20 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. Overall, it was a good experience, the only minor downsides were that the hairdryer was a bit weak and no complimentary water was provided.

I was a little worried because after I had booked I read a terrible review. But we found the hotel faultless and excellent value for money in central Amsterdam. Free parking in a garage attached to the hotel is very nice and convenient. Rooms are spacious and modern. Nice views and the breakfast was excellent! Easy transport with a bus stop near by or the train station. Walking or biking is also easy to do. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel, corner room offers great views of the city. Shower works great! Bar and restaurant staff are slow and do not offer to refill drinks or acknowledge customers but this was the only minus for the property.

Front desk staff was courteous and professional. The corner room on the ninth floor had a great view. Open bathroom is a little strange and toilet is extremely small. Compared to other van der Valk properties this one ranks much lower than others. Very slow internet, little choice of TV stations, no streaming services etc.

This hotel is quite modern and has an excellent price / quality ratio. Located close to.the railway station and a highway it is very functional and quite at the same time. Breakfast is good. Lovely stay. Great view to the beach with easy access. Hotel is located toward the end of the beach which was quiet but yet near everything close by. Convenient with the parking garage right near the hotel.

I have stayed here before when I was in Europe and was amazed to receive the same level of service. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and spacious and the location is perfect….a 5 minute walk to the train station and 10 minute walk to the heart of Leiden shopping. I will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean ,clean towels changed regularly although bin in bathroom wasnt emptied the last 3 days. The reception staff were efficient and helpful .

Not the best night’s stay The room was stuffy and there was no air conditioning. The shower was very disappointing - the water that came out of the shower-head more like a dribble! The pillows were lumpy and not very comfortable. Sadly we didn’t spend a very good night at the Tulip Inn.

It was an okay experience. I’ve stayed here before mostly due to the convenient location of being next to the train station, however I feel the hotel needs an update. Light switches were not working properly in the room and it left a tired feel to the property. The management team should consider updating the facilities to reflect most Mercure hotels

It is my 4th or 5th stay at this hotel. It is good and practical to explore Leiden and get to Schiphol airport. Rooms are big enough for two persons. This time we stayed on the 11th floor. It is more cumbersome to get there as you have to change elevators, but the room was more spacious. The newly renovated reception looks good.

For the 4 nights I stayed, they didn't make up my room before the last night.

A hotel near the river. Very convenient for travel. The restaurant downstairs is crowded every day. The front desk service is quite enthusiastic. I was not satisfied with the booked room, so I was taken to see each one and asked to choose. The overall design of the room looks more like a homestay in my opinion. However, I don't like the overall color tone of the room.

Hoxton offers a unique vibe where it is classy, trendy but homey too. The vibrant vibe of community during the day and quiet atmosphere in room gives it an excellent for those who travels solo. I love the place and it is easy access to the tourist attractions. I will definitely recommend and revisit it in the near future.

The hotel's location is just okay, but I was really disappointed with the staff's efficiency. I tried calling and messaging the front desk multiple times but got no response, so I had to go down to the first floor to find someone. I booked a king-size bed, but it turned out to be two single beds pushed together, which was a very bad experience!

A fifteen minute walk from the Centraal station but also close to a tram line. The hotel is built inside 'The Passage ' shopping area and is a lovely hotel. We had an excellent room and Bas on check in really looked after us and our room was ready early. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent and the bar had local beers and also a good range of European wine and other beverages....

We came for a weekend stay with family and got a free upgrade to executive suit. The hotel welcomed us with a cosy atmosphere, play area for kids and a breakfast with exactly the right balance of choice, quality and taste. The hotel is in an excellent location in the city centre, near tram and at a historical shopping passage.

The hotel's location is perfect, but the service leaves much to be desired. They don't respect the "Do Not Disturb" sign. The internet connection is bad, so it's impossible to work in the hotel. Honestly, this was a bit of a let down. When we walked into the room, we were hit with the smell of wet dog. Then the two twin beds pushed together made snuggling impossible - you either lay 1m apart, or you risk falling down the crack. Everything about the room and the hotel was outdated. The lift sounded like the cables were going to snap at any given moment. And the breakfast was kinda average....

The location is excellent and this was my second time at this hotel. The service has downgraded with 1 ply toilet rolls - you’re better off to buy your own. They don’t give a water bottle anymore, not even a complimentary one that you can refill later. It is only for select members apparently. You can’t expect basic toiletries from them in case you’ve forgotten - just the basic any hotel would do...

Stayed here lots of times mainly for location and for cost. Serving area though needs enlarged as there is always a Que at any time. This time my table was gone by the time I returned!!!

The room was great, spacious, and well-equipped. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. It's about a 7-8 minute walk to the nearest bus stop and not too far from the airport, which was very convenient.

We arrived in the morning after a long flight to Amsterdam. The hotel service was impeccable - they provided us an early check-in (at no cost) and gives us an opportunity to rest and shower. Shuttle to and fro to the airport is a breeze (15mins to 30mins interval). The room is huge and can accommodate up to 3 person (1 on the sofa bed). Great view too as you can see the aeroplanes queuing to fly off...

The room is quite large, which makes this hotel more convenient than staying in the city center if you're flying in and out of Amsterdam within 2-3 days, as you don't have to drag your luggage into the city. A bit remote from Arnhem but still accessible with public transport. The place was serene and has good paths to the woods.

They were very strict about check-in. Check-in was at 3:00 PM and not a minute earlier. The room was clean and had a nice view.

The service was great. The front desk employee took good care of me, so thanks to him. Only the bathroom hygiene could have been a bit better, and the sheets could have been washed a bit better. But otherwise, it was a peaceful place.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic location. Clean rooms and friendly staff. I'd also like to give a tip about making the beds. It's bad. The bottom sheet keeps sliding off, leaving you lying on the bare mattress. There's also no mattress protector around it, very unhygienic. A bottom sheet with elastic would save a lot of frustration.

Great location and clean facilities. We booked a room with 2 single beds received one double bed however. When asked about it the response was all rooms with single beds are booked out.

The surrounding environment is good, in a deep forest, and there is a restaurant, so eating is not a problem
