Palette Muscat Al Bayrahaa in Muscat

I had a very disappointing experience with this property on 11/10/2025. We booked a room through Wego (Booking No. WH254953548) at Palette Muscat Al Bayrahaa, but upon arrival, the hotel reception informed us that our booking was not valid because the property was previously managed by OYO and their services had been discontinued more than 10 days ago.

Shockingly, the staff asked us to cancel our online booking and pay in cash if we still wanted the room. When I explained that our booking was non-refundable, they told us to select “OYO services cancelled” as the reason for cancellation. I asked them why the property was still listed on all major booking platforms, but they had no proper response.

The staff were unprofessional, and even after waiting for over an hour, the manager never showed up. We were left stranded late in the evening and had to find another hotel at our own cost.

I strongly urge travelers to confirm directly with the hotel before booking, and I hope both the management and booking platforms take immediate action to prevent others from facing the same issue.

it was a horrible experience, I have seen on Google, room was showing good, but I booked in hurry and drama start from room door. I was unable to open and close the room' s door properly. Bad Smell was coming inside building. Staff taken 15 riyal and given me 2 receipt of 12 and 3. It's looking like have been taken extra. So I decided to leave after 2 hour of check in. Because I was not feeling safe and smell and cleaning was so cheap. 15 riyal went for nothing. Again we booked another hotel same day. I requested to change room . Not helped by staff at all. My experience was very drastic. Please don't go on picture. Check room before enter.

This hotel is located in Ma'abela Industrial City.. Honestly I was surprised because I did not expect that there is a hotel in the industrial city.. Generally, the hotel does not have private parking and the air conditioning is okay.. The cleanliness is poor and the electricity socket is open and the wires are exposed.. I mean it is very dangerous for anyone to touch the wires.. As for breakfast, they serve breakfast in a covered plastic plate and not a buffet.. And I did not like the food.. We did not open the plates and brought them to them.. I excused myself from breakfast.. They do not even provide coffee bags to the guests.. The cleaning tools are limited and the hair dryer does not work

Was charged extra for early check in - not a great start to my trip
Will not stay here or recommend this place to anyone
