The room number turned out to be the last four digits of my Chinese mobile phone number! The Grand Hyatt exceeded my expectations by a lot; it was absolutely gorgeous at night. The suite wasn't as old as I imagined, and Parth, the guy in the lounge, was incredibly nice; my wine glass was never empty. Highly recommended!!

This is a great hotel, primarily because of its convenient location. It's super close to all the major shopping malls, within walking distance, which is a huge plus. Don't underestimate this convenience; Muscat generally isn't designed for pedestrians, so being able to walk places is fantastic. First time staying at this hotel. Visited for a drink on my last visit when in Muscat. Rooms are clean, staff very friendly and the two bars are a nice change. We stayed here for three nights. The front desk is open 24 hours a day. All the hotel staff are very polite. The two single beds are quite large. The hotel is in a rather isolated area, though it's close to the airport. I was surprised that the taxi the hotel arranged for me cost 1.50, but when I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, I was charged 5.50 – quite frustrating. The rooms are spacious, and the staff are warm and friendly. There's also a restaurant at the hotel that serves all three meals. Overall, it was a pretty good experience

The room was quiet and clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the dinner set menu, which included a drink, salad (or soup), main course, and dessert, was also very nice. Parking right in front of the hotel was very convenient.

We are happy with the hotel. At our request, they immediately changed the room (the first one was dirty). It's 7-10 minutes to the sea, but the beach is not equipped. Even though the linens were poor quality and it is a bit older, I could get passed that because of the price. However, there is a bar next door that was very loud until 3am.

It was better than expected. I went just to the restaurant and the food was ok and it was possible to enjoy the view from the top. Some waiters do not speak english and sometimes was difficult the communication or I had to wait to whom speaks. The windows require a cleaning in order to appreaciate the landscape and the magnificent view, one of the good aspects of the restaurant.
