Seriously, DO NOT take a taxi from the hotel! You'll get ripped off! A taxi hailed outside costs 2 local currency (around 40 RMB), but the hotel charges 10 local currency (around 200 RMB) for the same ride. Always confirm the price before getting in! I got scammed, and it completely ruined my otherwise great impression of Oman. The hotel taxi service at the end just spoiled everything!

Our stay at the Uni Hotel coincided with Oman's National Day celebrations, and there happened to be a fireworks display at Qurum Beach.
