ALL Accor member, booked and paid in full directly with the hotel website for one night stay plus pet plus late check out at 5pm. Our keycard didn’t work after 12 so we had to go to the reception to get it extended. 15:30, a maid entered the room without knocking first despite do not disturb sign on then disappeared. 15:50, someone came and angrily knocked on our door. As soon as we opened the door, there was no greeting or anything just straight up “YOU NEED TO LEAVE” so we told him that we have late check out and his response was “THEN YOU NEED TO PAY” so we said we already did. Then he just said ok and walked away. No apology was made. I understand that this hotel is listed as 2-star but can’t believe that this is the behavior of Accor group’s hoteliers.

Avoid this hotel at all costs and the hotel is also under construction.

Edit: we went to the reception at 16:55 to check out and to pay for 1 night parking €5 but the front staff still trying to make us pay for late check out again. We showed our confirmation email but that was not enough. I understand that the GM of this property is managing many other properties in the area and might not have been around so much to this branch, but I hope that she understands the importance of Service Quality Management training with her staff to meet Accor’s values

This Beautiful Hotel Has A Beautiful Character About It. Family And Employees Take Much Pride In This Majestic Old Castle. My First Trip, Wanted To Be Downtown, But After 7 Days I Rebooked Because The Company And Charm Is Worth A Small Uber Ride To Amazing Lisbon Neighbors. Thank You Ibis Alfragide And All Who Take Such Care. ❤️🇵🇹

Traveled and stalled worldwide, a royalty member of Accor (complaining to them too!). Never happened in my life but this hotel cancelled my reservation without even asking, I learned from mu bank that the hotel’s system did not meet the security requirement: I was on the plane, landed and called them and they had already given the room to someone else and said “we are full”. Greedy!!!!

As we arrived at the hotel we checked in went to our room and rested before our dinner plans. When we started driving we noticed our 2 rear tires were flat. We noticed they were rapidly going flat we had to find a tyre repair centre at night. We then found out we had 2 screws in both rear tires. We knew it had to be from the hotel. Also the hotel was a mess and under major construction. When we approached the hotel reception they were aware of the problem as it has been happening before to electric cars. They were having a vandalism problem where electric cars were being targeted. And all they could offer us was to call the police. That’s it. Why did they not advise us that there has been a problem with vandalism? The receptionist and the manager Carla R**** where not helpful ,dismissive and arrogant. Even after admitting that the hotel has had previous problems they did not offer to cover the costs of the repair or assume any responsibility. The parking lote was an absolute mess with so much rubbish and dirt. The hotel was under major construction with noise and a make shift breakfast station. Waiting for a reply from a person in a higher position to explain how this is not the hotel’s responsibility especially when they knew about the ongoing problem.

UPDATE: Ms Carla Ra*** the manager at Ibis alfragide replied to me today completely saying that they did not say anything of the sort about the problem if vandalism when her colleague had told me otherwise. Disgusting for a hotel group like ibis to have such staff. But from reading many reviews I realize I’m not alone as many people have complained about the terrible service and attitude of the staff at front desk and management.

I have been here for more than a week and leave 01/03/26. I’m pleased I chose the hotel. Even though there were some upgrades going on there was little or no inconvenience. It’s just opening again to reveal a new work station and more, a really good conversion and will benefit residents.
The room I have is for a disabled person (as I am) and I found it to be one of the best I have used.
All the staff have been so helpful including carrying breakfast for me which I cannot do, everyone seems genuinely pleased to guests.
Overall this is a very good hotel and even if I was not disabled I would recommend it without hesitation. As I am unfortunately disabled the hotel is at the top of my list.
Well done to all of you 🫶

I have been a customer of Ibis hotels for over 25 years, I know several units from north to south, this one seeks to maintain high levels of service and friendliness, only the room I found a little weaker than normal, on one side there was the noise of the elevator and on the other an internal door to the next room that let even the snoring of the neighbors through.

I will continue to look for the Ibis group in future opportunities only in other facilities.

I have always used Ibis Alfragide anytime we go to Portugal, sadly this time was last one on this premises.

Or choice for Alfragide was always due to the best accommodation around any Ibis I know, sadly yesterday was our weeding day and coming from Alcacer do Sal towards Lisbon we’ve chose Alfragide over Setúbal for the reasons above.

We checking in on our way to our diner party ( around 9pm) as we didn’t want to leave it till late hours in the next morning. We’re given the room 101 ( a disabled assisted room) despite none of us not been disabled and not asked for one.

Bed frame is really outdated , cracking at the slightest move, could seat on loo properly to to the assistance bars on it we had even a shower assisted chair in it.

Therefore we wouldn’t ever be using IBIS again.

The only reason I can find for this to happen is the room been booked through Trip.com ( way in advance) instead of using my ‘frequent user’ card.

Lesson learned.
