Location was excellent. Right at the heart of tourist area. Short walk to praca de comercio, arco de rua augusta, elevador de santa justa and rossio square. Alfama district is also in walking distance. If you don’t mind the hike, castelo de sao jorge is 15-20min away. Lots of options for dining and buying souvenirs and gifts. Also very near to rossio and restauradores metro station and tour pickup and dropoff to sintra.

Room was quite small. Struggle to open 1 large and 1 medium luggage at the same time. Shower area was also very small.

Breakfast was adequate. There was bread, coffee, tea, fruits, cheese etc. the usual.

Extremely inflexible and petty customer service. I made a genuine mistake and booked one night for a date three months in the future, which I did not and will not use. Despite multiple requests and the amount being only about €60, the hotel continues to refuse to allow any cancellation.
For a large hotel, this level of rigidity over such a small amount shows a complete lack of goodwill and a miserable behaviour. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place. It is for sure not worth it!

Nice , easy, clean , center

Other reviews mention mold in the shower, loud construction and noise in general, and a definite sewage smell. It’s all true and honestly I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The price isn’t low enough to ignore all those major problems. However, the location is honestly unbeatable since it’s right in the center. If you’re roughing it on a euro trip and you don’t wanna stay in a hostel then I’d stay here. The water pressure in the shower went absolutely sicko mode. 10/10 for the water pressure, just ignore the mold and the smell

Unacceptable customer service. In the early hours of our first morning, we woke up to construction noise banging and drilling right on the other side of our headboard wall. We complained only to be told that there was nothing they could do. Never were we told or informed that not only was the building adjoining the hotel under major construction but so was the building across the street between the hours of 5 and 11 am. Having a daughter with POTTS-disotonomia where rest is a must this would not work for 4 nights. When I asked about cancelling our reservation, I was told only if I moved out of the room by 12 noon and would not be reimbursed for the night before. We spent about 4 hours searching for a hotel room including walking into about 12 hoping to find availability where none could be found online. Finally found a suite that cost over $3,000 for 4 nights for 3 people. That is all I could find. I had to stay in this area due to my daughterºs health so she could use her energy to enjoy vs traveling to/from the area. We paid for the first night even though no one was able to sleep after 5 am. We also paid for the 2nd night because I was not able to find another hotel and relocate until after 12 noon so the front desk person reiterate the manager's message while on the phone with her. I asked for the manager's name, phone number and direct email and was provided only the general information available online. In addition, the one person elevator was not operating most of the time and the stairs were wobbly and uneven. Did I mention the mold in the bathroom? It is unacceptable to not let your customers know in advance about the construction noise on the adjoining walls not taking into consideration children, elderly or sick customers who would not be able to stay in this hotel and then to add insult to injury by not reimbursing me for the night I did not use. A complete lack of customer service and compassion.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The bathroom had a persistent sewage smell that was very unpleasant every time I returned to the room. The shower area had visible black mould along the edges, and the towels provided were stained yellow, which raised concerns about cleanliness.
The bathroom door handle was broken and could not be locked.

The air conditioning was also not effective – even when set to 16°C, the room remained warm and stuffy. The view from the window was of the air conditioning units of the building across, which didn’t help the overall atmosphere.

The lift used by guests looked unfinished and felt like it was still under construction, adding to the sense that the hotel was poorly maintained.

The only redeeming quality was the location – it’s very convenient and centrally located, making it easy to get around the city.

I had hoped for a more comfortable and clean experience, but unfortunately, these issues made my stay far less enjoyable than expected.

Excellent location right at the city centre so shops and restaurants are all nearby, which is ideal!

You really can't ask for too much at this price! The location is good, but you can't park in front of the door. There is a lift for luggage and luggage storage, but no washing machine facilities. The rooms are a bit small which is ok, but the bathroom is really narrow. I can't imagine how a tall and strong person would use it. The breakfast buffet is always filling, as long as the staff serves it on time. (I took this photo when I passed by the restaurant and there was no one there. Not bad, isn’t it!)

New Year Dinner was 195 € + wine pairing 34 €. Food was very god, tasty, innovative but quality on plates were rather non-standardized (as you observed what fellow guest had on their plates). I even missed yuzu sorbet from my dessert plate and my spuse had to request for it! The waiter couldn’t understand what was wrong with my plate.
Together with foie gras no wine was served, only when I asked whether there should have been wine, we got it AFTERWARDS!
Water was not filled, not without asking for it. Perhaps it was, because we were two males having dinner together, I don’t know. Everybody else around seemed to receive their glasses filled. Our water bottles were emptied by guest in the next table...
You couldn’t make a reservation unless you sent a banktransfer for 50 % of the dinner first. But after 55 minutes of waiting for the check this prepayment was not withdrawn from your bill. Eventually the restaurant Tagide owner had decided that the unfortunate staff had to try to do a successfull profit from the evening
The dining room was UNDERSTAFFED - -definitely, as the dining room was fully occupied. All the guest seemed to have troubles with their dinner or checks.
VERY unfortunate that the owner did not show up - she most certainly thought she could sip hee champagne rlsewhere and leave her staff in trouble. Which was the case!

Great view if you can reserve in advance a table close to the big window. Food quality not constant (is decreased, in my experience and opinion, over the 5 times I was there). However the standard is above average and it is anyhow a pleasant experience.

Amazing view of Lisbon. Good food although a tad expensive for what you get. Small portions too. Friendly service.
