InPatio Guest House in Porto

We had a wonderful weeklong stay, enjoying InPatio so very much! Olga and Fernando were extremely helpful before and during our trip. Inpatio has a beautiful clean, modern style while retaining the charm of a unique building in an historic district. The delicious breakfasts, full of fresh and local delights, were a terrific way to start the day and enjoy the local cuisine. This Guest House is in an ideal location, being a short walk to the river front, great restaurants, and so many historic sights. InPatio and its thoughtful innkeepers made our trip very memorable!

We stayed for 5 nights at inPatio in November, 2025. It was a 5-star experience, and we have told a number of our friends about it since then. We highly recommend inPatio! The guest house is in a great location, and we were able to walk to all attractions and sites. It is a few minutes to the river, and central to other main streets. In spite of its central location, it is quiet and peaceful at the end of the day! The courtyard that separates the road from the guest house really makes it feel private. The fact that there are only 5 rooms means the owners can be very attentive to everyone's needs. The hosts provide wonderful local-based breakfasts every morning. We loved the descriptions of where the food was from within Portugal. Fresh fruit every day, and fresh-baked breads, purchased every morning at a local bakery, ensure the breakfasts provide nourishment for the day. On days that we had tours and needed an early breakfast, they were happy to meet our needs. The rooms are extremely clean and updated, and the beds are very comfortable. All in all, this was an excellent home base for Porto.

We absolutely loved our stay. Olga and fernando made delicious and thoughtful breakfasts, and were very accommodating to preparing some early when we had to leave for various activities. The room was spacious and comfortable and we were 100 percent satisfied.

We had an absolutely lovely time at InPatio Guest House. Charming, hospitable, great location, clean, quiet and fabulous hosts! Olga and Fernando have done an amazing job renovating the building and take great pride in their country as evidenced by their tales of all breakfast items ; ) We would highly recommend this boutique hotel for couples who enjoy a hands-off approach (ie no formal concierge, no 24hr reception; don't let that scare you: we got many recommendations and knew how to contact someone if needed).

Olga and Fernando are wonderful, friendly hosts. This small establishment is a gem - v quiet rooms at nighttime (courtyard location) with clean, simple and very comfortable rooms. Construction next door is reasonable, does not start before 7:30 AM and stops by 6 PM. Location is outstanding for exploring old Porto and the variety of local sites and eateries. Breakfasts were spot on - mix of delicious yogurt, Portuguese ham/charcuterie and local cheese; excellent fruit choices. Comfortable open seating downstairs for time away from your room. This would be my first choice on a return trip to this lovely city.

We had a delightful stay at In Patio Guest House! Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and large and airy! Breakfast was a treat with homemade food and so many fruits and cheeses, along with warm croissants. We highly recommend this little place…a real gem in Porto with a fabulous restaurant across the patio! We ate there two out of our three nights and loved the food, atmosphere and charming host and wait staff!

Obrigada to Olga and Fernando for a relaxing and wonderful 2 day stay in Porto after our Riviera Porto River Cruise! In Patio Guest House was highly recommended. Very close walking distance to restaurants, shops, river front where we spent two mornings sipping Cappuccino, listening to street music, and watching the families and tourists walk by. Small & quiet with 5 rooms. Located in a 300 yr. old hospital building; modern and thoughtful remodel throughout. Our 2nd floor room was very comfortable, great king size bed. Used the old fashioned "Dumbwaiter" lift for bags. Fernando kept in contact with us from beginning of reservation in May and also several days before. Upon arrival we could check in early since the ship debarks in the morning. No problem, he stored our bags and we toured the sites. "Pop Up restaurant appeared on the Patio outside their front door (no relation to In Patio) where we enjoyed a lovely dinner. Breakfast was a beautiful assortment of cheeses, fruits, breads and Olga was very accommodating to prepare hard boiled eggs for our diabetic diets.

InPatio was hands down the best place I stayed while traveling. The rooms are well designed and beautiful, and breakfast was delicious. I loved Olga’s presentation of the various specialties of the area.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at InPatio. The hotel's location is excellent, near the river as well as tourist sites and shopping. The room was quite large and comfortable and the housekeeping service kept it very clean. Olga provided an individualized breakfast each morning, careful to explain its ingredients; we were never able to eat all of the wonderful spread. We give InPatio our highest recommendation.
