The location, cleanliness, and staff service were all absolutely wonderful and beyond reproach.

Room was very cold, heating system was not working. We were given small portable heater but it did not help. Furniture was old/outdated.

Very good in city location with lots of different restaurants nearby . The hotel even checked us in an hour before checkin time, and offer a cheaper price to upgrade to B&B. The only defects is the bathroom extractor is not working and TV is a bit old fashioned and cannot watch YouTube etc.

The hotel's location is great, offering a quiet retreat while being less than 100 meters from the main street, which is very convenient. The room was a bit small but still quite tidy and clean. It seems to be a designated hotel for tour groups, as many foreign groups were checking in. Breakfast was quite diverse; aside from being a bit noisy, everything else was good.

Amazing hotel. Wonderfully comfortable, and perfectly located. Can't recommend enough.

Great location and great price. Let down by the lack of air con in room - we arrived to find air con not working and an oil heater being used to heat the room. Additionally towels were very small for an adult.

This was the perfect stay. I’m very happy with my choice!

We had an amazing stay at Academy Plaza Hotel.
We chose this Hotel as it was near the City Cente and it was very easy for us to commute.

The Luas stop is quite close so it was very convenient.
We loved the Academy coffee shop and the dinner at the Academy Plaza too. The room was very clean and the staff is very polite and helpful.

Looking forward to staying again at Academy Plaza Hotel.

Academy Plaza Hotel is quite convenient since it is located in the center of the city and the transportation is within distance.
It has the direct airport bus to come and go, where the stop is just a few minutes walking away. It is also close to the meeting points where most local tours park their buses and pick up tourists. So if you are planning to join local tours, this hotel should be on your list coz it is easy for a traveller to find the hop on point and also saves your time.
Since it is in the heart of Dublin, you can just Google the destination you wanna visit and walk towards it with your mobile phone. It will be a solo city walk.
Meantime, the staff here shows Irish hospitality and the coffee at Academy Cafe is so good.
It is an ideal choice for people travelling alone.

Fun spot. Good food. Great pints. Went around Christmas/New year's. Beautiful decorations. Had Irish dancers and live band.

Best food and live music in Dublin. The Irish beef and Guinness pie is amazing and they have live traditional folk music from 9pm every night. The dancers are phenomenal and it is a fantastic experience all round. Service is great too.

A good bar with a bit of everything. Big massive smoking garden out the back with a choice of two other bars and fast food. Good music with irish traditional on the ground floor with modern music downstairs. Good is also good quality and value.

Enjoyed our night, ambience was authentic, good entertainment a mixture of Irish folk singers and dancers, typical tourist fair but I am a tourist so enjoyed it. The food was a pricey an nothing to write home about, wife had a lamb shank which was ok but my salmon was overcooked and the vegetables were mushy. The waitress was good and friendly.

A lovely public house with live entertainment and a great atmosphere. I visited here over the Bank Holiday weekend in August 2017, where I arrived in Dublin at 10.00pm.

By the time I checked in to the hotel, we got to Murray's Bar for 11.00pm, tired and hungry. The hotel we were staying at suggested we take a look and we were not disappointed.

The staff were friendly and confirmed they would serve us food. This arrived freshly cooked and was great. Would certainly recommend. There is free traditional entertainment seven nights a week.

Wish we had stayed for two nights as we would have visited again - may be next time, if i ever come to Dublin.

Brilliant. Well worth visiting to savour the beautiful food served up by the most helpful and friendly staff washed down by your favorite beverage from the bar. Will be returning to try other dishes from the menu and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. Don't miss this fabulous experience............

My go-to restaurant for Asian fusion.

The restaurant really picks up in the evenings so if planning to attend any time after 6, call and make a reservation. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They always greet with smiles and make the experience that much better.

Highly recommend the chicken mandu, octopus kara age, and creamy salmon roll. To be honest though, I haven't had a bad dish in general, these are just some of my favorite.

As many other reviews state, the restaurant is connected to a pub, the Hop House Pub which also has access to a beer garden.

Stop reading more reviews. It's worth it. Just go. Now.

One of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. The food is really good, especially their Bulgogi which is their signature dish. The atmosphere is also really nice, as it is neither too small nor too big and all staff are Koreans. Highly recommended if you are a friend of Korean / Asian dishes.

A fantastic South Korean restaurant attached to the Hop House pub. Food is superb washed down with a lovely draft beer, what more can a man want. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It does get busy in both restaurant and bar but a great atmosphere. A group of us go at least once a week. Highly recommended.

Old man pub and Korean restaurant in one! Great place to watch matches. Good Guinness. Staff are lovely. Every 6 pints gets chicken mandu with a loyalty card too, what more could you want?

This is somewhat a belated review as we were there on March of 2016. Overall, the experience was positive. The atmosphere was cozy and it was the first time I'd experienced very talkative serving staff and clientele. Obviously Chapter One has a number of regulars who all like to converse and did not strike me and my wife as a Michelin starred restaurant.

This feeling was however short lived as we too got into the fun and conversed with the locals who gave us great tips on places to see and restaurants to try.

Now, onto the food. We went with the 5-course tasting menu. Presentation was fine however, the mushroom risotto was a bit on the salty side. The wine pairing were quite complementary to the dish.

Service was good and overall experience was positive.
30.11.2017 John
Food was amazing, service was amazing, and the ambiance and decor were fantastic too. I will definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone. We went for lunch, three courses for €39 which was great value. The atmosphere was fairly laid back (I was wearing jeans and a shirt). If you go, order an Irish coffee, they make it in front of you at the table.

My wife and I went here. One of the best restaurants I've eaten at. Staff is very professional and helpful. Highly recommended

My son took me here for a meal The whole experience from the time we entered the restaurant was amazing. We were made to feel so special. The food was amazing and the staff were brilliant. I will definitely be going back here and I will be buying vouchers for family and friends
