Rented a room at the City Comfort Hotel Tverskaya in the center of Moscow. We came to rest on the May holidays. We were given a room overlooking Maly Gnezdnikovsky Lane, which was very quiet, we thought that everything was fine. But when we arrived at the hotel in the evening, we were simply horrified, because the room was right above the bar, in which loud music was playing from 9 pm. Music is still nothing, but closer to 11 pm the floor, furniture and everything seems to be shaking in our room - this bar under the hotel arranged some kind of a rave party. (we checked in on Friday and had to stay there until Tuesday). Then it turned out that there were 3-4 more bars nearby on this side street, from which loud music was also heard. It was impossible to sleep at all. When asked to move us to a quiet room (where at least everything will not shake from the bass), the administration of the City Comfort Tverskaya Hotel said that there were no such rooms. No one even tried to somehow remedy the situation, but the administration of course is aware of WHERE they settle people and WHAT happens in the room at night! We did not sleep until 6 in the morning, left in the morning and left for another normal hotel (Azimut Olympic). We asked the hotel compensation for such a stormy night, the breakdown of the morning excursion due to the hotel's fault and the cost of a taxi, the hotel refused everything and charged us the full cost per night. By the way, they debited money from the card for all the nights, and when we wrote an application for a refund, at least for those nights that we did not stay, having left, the hotel announced, after a conversation with a Booking.com employee, that it would refund the funds. And then the hotel marked our card (valid, with which they paid) as invalid and tried to return something to it in Turkish lira. (We and Booking were very surprised). After that our booking was marked CANCELED by the hotel due to NO ARRIVAL (although we were staying). Booking staff said that the Citycomfort hotel carries out these fraudulent actions in order to avoid negative feedback from us. Within a month, Booking staff knocked out a refund from Citycomfort. The hotel even sent a submission to credit the card's account, but the submission was without seals and signatures (maybe it was drawn in Photoshop). Only a month later and a bunch of calls to Booking (communication with the hotel was carried out only through the Booking staff, many thanks to them!) The hotel did transfer money simply by card number by transfer.
At the same time, the quality of the cleaning - such a thing, some black long hair was found on the bed linen, it was unpleasant. If your goal is not to go to bars all night and you are not a fan of daytime sleep - do not settle here. We doubt very much that the rooms facing the other side of the barstreet on Maly Gnezdnikovsky Lane are much quieter. well, maybe it doesn't shake.
