Perfect for a family vacation. It is cheaper to buy not a ticket to the water park, but to book a hotel room for 1 night and you can both sleep, eat and access to the water park for 2 days.

In my opinion, Hotel AquaCity Poprad was one of the greatest dissapointments I have ever experienced. My and my family had booked the most expensive room for two nights because of the advantage of two bathrooms and two twin beds. Well the thing was that one twin bed had dirrect bathroom and the other twin bed was at the top of very steep stairs which were difficult to climb durring the light. Fortunately my mom and my sister took the worse bed as I need to go few times durring the night to the bathroom. Additionaly, there was no cutlery in the room, despite kitchen drawers being there. Only a salad bowl. After we checked in, tv in the living room was not working and neither was the wifi. Yes, they came to fix it pretty quickly I must give them credits, though you wouldn't expect things not to work in the most expensive room :D. I think expensive drinks from the hotel fridge don't need to be mentioned as something special (and also gummy bears). Someone may consider the advatage of expensive room to have highly advanced bath tub and shower. Well the shower gave my mom almost a heart attack after she accidentaly turned on the massage functions and left her with wet hair. I wanted to take a jaccuzi bath after a long day only to discover it was not working. It was 9:30 pm so I really did not want to go to reception desk and complain. And than there was the cathering. On the first night I was there, there were 3 meat options. First was on mushrooms and the second one was prepared on vine which both are well known not to be everyones favourite. So me and my sister went for the third meat option with some pasta which was on one end too soft and on the other too hard. My sister later threw up and I experienced laxative effects. Deserts weren't the best either. Cathering on the second day was less worse, let's call it like that, though the duck was more bone than meat. And it doesn't end here. The third floor was always moisty and very warm. So after you leave the room, you will be hit with mixture of warm wet air mixed with the smell of chlorine. :)

I personaly did not go for a swim but my parents and sister said that it was okay. So if you want to go swimming at aqua city Poprad stay at different hotel.

I do not recommend.

The aquapark was big disappointment!
I purchased family ticket plus paid for one extra it cost something like €110 just to enter aquapark and in this deal you are supposed to be able to use big swimming pool and sauna. However on our arrival we were told that swimming pool and sauna are off limits as there was some swimmers competition going on that day.
We went in to the locker room and 20% of lockers had broken locks and were unusable.

It was waste of money in my opinion, all of the other aquaparks are much better. And better supervised! Here nobody was keeping an eye on any of the attractions like water slides, although there were just two water slides, kids were like crazy and there was nobody to tell them to follow the rules and behave or get off. No supervision at all. I'm glad none of my children were injured that day. It's disaster waiting to happen.
We stayed only for about 3 hours because of children and went home, even though we bought full day tickets. It was just not entertaining enough and definitely not worth the money to be honest.

Nice place, hotel is also nice, friendly staff, a little bit expensive. Breakfast and dinner was nice, good selection and variety. The Riverside Hotel is a bit tricky to find. Outside pool is cool when snowing around you :)

We were probably at a time when it wasn't as packed. The staff would need some training in costumer service. I get it that it must be exhausting with the sheer volume of people, but common courtesy would be nice. Been to few pools in my life and nothing here was with a wow effect. Main issue was when I thought I could just walk out for a moment and met staff that didn't even speak English. Only one girl. After the gentleman at the gate took the watch off me and sent it in to the machine. I still didn't understand what he was saying. With that I had items in locker that I would not be able to get out as some in our group was still inside and the locker was locked with my watch. Leaves a sour taste just to know that such famous tourist place has so little staff that are able to speak in international language wich is English. Maybe a shift pattern should be implemented so the staff is not so annoyed with costumers. The price is not cheap to be met with non smiling staff. This is a tick in the bucket list, but don't think I would return here.

Car park is outdated and impossible to understand whether you need to pay for parking or not. In my opinion outside area could do with some update. I hardly believe that earnings are so bad that the aforementioned things are impossible to improve on.

Oberall it's good to go with kids. But if you expect good service then maybe find some other place to go to. Have no idea what do people like here. Language and politeness should be key to success. Maybe the owners don't care as it still brings money so they don't feel like investing anymore.

The room was not renovated since the place was built. They didn't even replace the furniture. Light switches are disgusting. Walls are filthy. No air conditioning or ventilation. We stayed when it was around 20 degrees. I can't imagine what it's like to stay at that place when it is hot. Water park is very basic. With the pricce equivalent to a minimum monthly wage in Slovakia for a 2 night stay, defonetely not worth the money.

Had the best swim ever. The lane was just for me, I recommend to come in the morning if you want to really swim. The temperatute of the waterwas perfect for swimmers, the pool was clean. I swam 1.5km and then had a nice chat with the staff and also bought a snack and a Coke.

First Impression and Rooms The hotel presented three double rooms with noticeably varied layouts: one had a sofa, another a balcony, and the third, though lacking both, featured a larger bathroom. While the rooms were aesthetically pleasing, the experience was marred by excessive heat. Despite turning off the heating, the air conditioning maintained a frustratingly high temperature of 26–28°C, making it challenging to cool the rooms below 22°C. Additionally, the air conditioning system was excessively noisy, even in quiet mode, making it difficult to sleep peacefully. Questionnaires and feedback forms were provided in the rooms, but no pens or pencils were available to complete them. The in-room coffee was instant Nescafé, which felt underwhelming compared to the potential of offering Nespresso machines. On the positive side, room cleaning and towel service were provided daily, and the mattresses were comfortable. However, the beds often consisted of two separate mattresses pushed together rather than one large bed, which could affect comfort for some guests. Check-In and Check-Out The check-in and check-out processes were fairly smooth and efficient. The hotel offers an online check-in option, which seems convenient in theory. However, this feature is unavailable when booking more than one room. Even when using the online check-in, guests are required to upload pictures of their passports, but the hotel still requests physical passports upon arrival, making the online form feel redundant. Hotel Facilities The hotel provided a chip bracelet for access to the facilities, but the use of these fabric bands seemed questionable from a hygiene perspective, as they appeared to be recycled. The pool area was enjoyable, and while the equipment and surroundings were generally good, they did show signs of aging. The sauna selection was impressive, though there were strict rules for use, many of which were ignored by other guests. The hotel enforces a strict no slippers/flip-flops policy in the sauna, citing hygiene reasons. However, this felt somewhat inconsistent, as some guests had visible toenail fungal infections, which seemed even more unhygienic. Additionally, the floors around the facilities were slippery, and I observed several people falling, so caution is advised. Dining Experience Dining at the hotel was the biggest disappointment. Coffee, tea, and juices were not available during dinner, only at breakfast, despite the all-inclusive package. One evening, a free jug of tap water was placed on our table, but on the second night, we were charged €3 for the same tap water. This charge was justified as part of their policy, but we were not informed in advance that tap water would incur a charge, which felt misleading and unfair. On a positive note, the hotel offered some typical Slovakian dishes, which were flavorful, along with healthy options. However, the selection included commercially packed items like pâtés and soft cheese, which felt lazy
