Arriving early from Unseo, I dropped off my luggage at the hotel and headed to Anguk. I managed to visit a famous bakery before it got crowded with tourists and even secured a reservation at a samgyetang restaurant – I was really pleased! The hotel's location is excellent, being close to iconic Seoul attractions like Gyeongbokgung Palace. It's also conveniently located near two subway stations, Anguk and Jongno 3-ga, and best of all, the bus stop is incredibly close. If you have some extra time, I'd recommend a trip to Inwangsan Mountain.

The room requires you to take off your shoes, and it's generally very clean. A bathtub, which is rare in Seoul hotels, was a welcome bonus, and the shower had excellent water pressure and temperature. Since I had an early start the next morning, I inquired about the check-out procedure and luggage storage after check-out beforehand, and the staff were happy to accommodate. It was also a great help to be able to reorganize my luggage in the lobby when I picked it up.

I would definitely want to stay at this hotel again.

My go-to stay when I am in Seoul.
Spacious room and great amenities. There's a coin-laundry room to wash your clothes if you need. It is near Changdeok-gung and transport is all less than 5 mins of walking distance.

The surroundings are quiet and the location is great, with many trendy cafes just a short walk away. The room is also clean. There are no pajamas provided, so you'll need to bring your own, but other than that, all the basic amenities are available.

The accessibility was excellent. It was within walking distance to Anguk, Insadong, and Jongno 3-ga. Although it was a historic hotel, I appreciated having both an ondol (Korean heated floor) and a bathtub. It was also very helpful that the sheets were changed daily and a 500ml bottle of water was replenished every day.

The location is incredibly convenient. You can walk to Insadong Culture Street, and Gyeongbokgung Palace is nearby. There's also Unhyeongung Palace, which is free to enter, and the Korean Music History Museum, also free, with easily accessible restrooms and water fountains. Right below the hotel, there's a convenience store, and out on the main street, you'll find plenty of food options and a MEGA Coffee. Plus, a brightly lit building next door makes it feel very safe, even if you return late. You even pass a 119 fire station on the way from Anguk Station Subway Exit 4 to the hotel, which adds to the feeling of security. There are also direct airport buses nearby, which is a huge convenience.

The hotel staff at the reception were very friendly. You can store your luggage for free if you check in early or after checking out. The lobby on the first floor also has a water dispenser and restrooms. I found the lighting in the room to be ample, and they even provided amenities like razors and toothbrushes. The room I stayed in this time was also spacious enough. As for cleanliness, I'd say it was okay and acceptable. Regarding temperature, it couldn't be adjusted independently and relied on floor heating. Occasionally, it felt a bit chilly, but it was still acceptable.

Everything was great, clean, and the room smelled nice. The toilet had a bidet. It was a bit chilly in the room, but it was really cold outside, so that's understandable. There was a charger for Android phones, but unfortunately not for iPhones, though I had my own. The water pressure in the shower wasn't strong, but it was adequate (the sink faucet, however, had strong pressure 😅). Tea, coffee, and water were waiting in the fridge. The soundproofing between rooms was good; I had some pretty loud neighbors, but they fell asleep quickly. You could hear everything happening in the hallway very clearly, but it wasn't a major issue for me. I was able to sleep very well and peacefully. Overall, a good room for the price!

I stayed here for one night with a friend who was visiting Seoul. The hotel is right in front of Changdeokgung Palace and very close to Anguk Station (Line 3) and Jongno 3-ga Station. We didn't actually explore the Jongno area much; we just dropped off our bags and went to Itaewon and Haebangchon. We arrived before the official check-in time, and I just intended to leave our luggage, but they had a room ready, so we were able to check in immediately, which was really convenient. The bathroom had a bidet, which my Japanese friend appreciated. Plus, bus 6011 to Incheon Airport stops right in front of Changdeokgung Palace. For the price, the location is excellent, and the staff are friendly. I'd definitely recommend it if you're planning to travel around the Gwanghwamun and Jongno areas.

Even though the hotel is a bit old, it didn't detract from our stay at all! It was very clean, the mattress was comfortable, and there was no odor in the bathroom. Plus, the location is great. The uncle at the front desk even upgraded our room, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Despite the high year-end prices, the overall experience was good. The 6011 airport shuttle bus stops right outside, which is super convenient.
