Very disappointing experience. This hotel should not have a 4-star rating. The problems started immediately at check-in. The receptionist repeatedly said she could not hear me and seemed irritated, even though loud music was playing nearby and people were partying in the lobby area. This is clearly a management issue, not a guest’s fault. Finding the room at night was extremely frustrating. The directions from reception were unclear and I had to walk around the hotel in the dark with my luggage trying to find the room by myself. No assistance was offered. We paid extra for a “sea view” room, but the view looked nothing like the photos shown on booking websites. It felt very misleading. When I showed the reception the pictures from the offer, they were initially surprised by my complaint, but eventually admitted that I was right. Unfortunately, after requesting a room change, we were given another room with exactly the same view – facing a building. That night it was raining and very windy. The entrance door to the room kept banging loudly the entire night, making it impossible to sleep. I had to block the door myself just to reduce the noise. At the same time, rainwater from a gutter was hitting the concrete very loudly, which suggests poor maintenance. To make things worse, the TV kept turning on automatically during the night and started playing hotel advertisements, waking us up several times. In the end, I had to unplug it. The food situation was also very disappointing. The hotel clearly cannot handle the number of guests staying there. Food items run out quickly and there are long queues for everything. One morning we arrived for breakfast at 9:00 and there were no eggs left, and we were told there would be no more that day. By the time you finally get your food and find a place to sit, it is already cold. The quality of the food and drinks is very poor. Even tea and coffee were difficult to drink, and the fruit looked old and not fresh. For the price this hotel charges, you can definitely find much better accommodation. I cannot recommend this place and would strongly advise future guests to consider other options.

strongly advise everyone to avoid this hotel. We arrived late in the evening after a 6-hour flight and another hour travelling from the airport. When we entered the hotel lobby there was a concert taking place and the noise was extremely loud. At the reception desk an older lady kept repeating that she could not hear us because of the music, but the way she spoke to us made it feel as if it was our fault. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she showed irritation toward us. This is unacceptable behavior from hotel staff. After a long and frustrating check-in, she simply handed us a map of the hotel and told us to find our room ourselves. The hotel is made up of several separate buildings marked with letters, and trying to find the correct one at night while exhausted is extremely difficult. No one offered to show us the way or help with our luggage. For a hotel that claims to belong to the Melia chain, this level of service is shocking. The next disappointment was the room. We specifically booked and paid extra for a sea-view room. In reality, the view was mostly other buildings. To see even a small piece of the sea you had to stand on your toes on the balcony. This feels misleading and certainly not what anyone would expect when paying extra for a sea view. Although the room itself was large, it was very dirty. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The duvet was thin and did not even have a proper cover – it was only wrapped in two sheets that kept sliding off during the night. Several times we woke up with only the dirty duvet left uncovered. It was extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic. The food was another major disappointment. Coffee, tea and water from the machines were practically undrinkable because the machines appeared dirty. The food was overcooked, tasteless and of very poor quality. Vegetables and fruit looked like leftovers, and the meat was rubbery or undercooked. Very often dishes were simply not refilled once they ran out. One day they even ran out of eggs and staff told us there were no more available. There is not even a kettle in the room to make tea or coffee, yet there are two televisions mounted on the wall that automatically turn on during the night playing hotel advertisements, which wakes guests up. The hotel lobby is also in very poor condition, with worn-out chairs and uncomfortable sofas. What I still cannot understand is how this place can be associated with the Melia hotel chain. The standards here are far below what anyone would expect from such a brand. It is honestly embarrassing that guests are welcomed in these conditions. I would never stay here again and I strongly recommend that other travelers choose a different hotel.

We stayed in March 2026. The weather was mixed, but it was still a welcome escape from the grey, late-winter conditions in northern Europe. The hotel itself is bright, modern, and thoughtfully laid out. The central pool area is particularly impressive — large, heated, and very well maintained. Even with occupancy reportedly at 98%, there were consistently plenty of sunbeds available, which speaks to good capacity planning and guest management. The staff were excellent throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and service standards were exactly what you would expect from the Meliá Hotels International brand — professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Cleanliness across the property was faultless. Rooms, communal areas, and pool facilities were consistently maintained to a high standard. The entertainment programme was strong both during the day and in the evenings. While we were travelling as a couple without children, it was clear that families were very well catered for, with structured activities and engaged staff ensuring children were well looked after. The food was genuinely five-star in quality — varied, fresh, and consistently well presented. There was clear effort in both selection and execution. As a final touch, it was my birthday during our stay, and the hotel surprised us with a bottle of wine in our room — a thoughtful gesture that rounded off an excellent experience. Overall, a very well-run hotel delivering strong service, facilities, and value. We would happily return.

Had mixed feelings leading up to our holiday after reading other reviews but pleased to say we had a lovely time despite a few minor issues. Firstly, the location is great. It is our favourite part of the island and the walk along the “prom” is lovely down to the old town. Check in was fine, a little long winded but the young man was perfectly polite and friendly. He pointed out that there were steps to our room and that if we needed help he could arrange it. We stupidly declined having been here many years ago and felt we knew the layout!!!! It was a shock to realise we then had four flights of stairs to drag up our cases and being of a certain age and with mobility issues found it pretty difficult! If in doubt accept the offer of help! The room itself was great, a little tired but isn’t this the case in most hotels after certain time ?!!! There was a lounge area with sofa, table, chairs , storage unit, fridge and tv. Then down a small “corridor” with bathroom off to the right , wardrobe area with plenty hanging space and 6 drawers. Then into the bedroom which had two large comfortable single beds pushed together to form one very large bed. Free safe. Another tv. Large balcony with table and two chairs. There is no kettle in the room so take your own if you like an early morning cuppa. The bathroom had a large walk in shower , plenty hot water , big sink and two large drawers to store your toiletries. The pool area is lovely with many sun loungers and the pool is actually quite warm !!! There’s a baby pool too. All very clean and well maintained. Now for the “not so good” points (there’s not many !) Our main issue was that we were told at reception we could pay for drinks at the bar using Euros. Having only taken Euros and one card for “emergencies” we were happy to hear this. However , when we went to the bar to order a drink we were told “card only”!!!! So for the rest of our stay we couldn’t have a drink in the bar!!! We were on half board plus which meant we could have a drink with our evening meal but nothing from the bar! However the drinks in the restaurant were wine - red, white or rose , all of which were just about drinkable but definitely not enjoyable. There was also sangria but that too was pretty bad. Beer was ok. Now for the food ……… as previous reviews have stated the food is generally cold ! There are microwave ovens around the dining room to warm things up if you feel like it. The choice of food was repetitive with just a few changes along the way. The coffee in the machines is pretty dire. So to summarise - food not that great , hotel room comfy, staff nice , entertainment staff really great providing various activities throughout the day , evening entertainment hit and miss, location great, long transfer from airport. Happy holidays !

We had an extremely poor experience at Sol Fuerteventura Jandía All Suites and I honestly cannot understand the positive reviews. The biggest issue by far was the service. Several female staff members were outright rude, particularly Maite and Sol. Their attitude was dismissive and abrupt, and at times it felt like we were being spoken to as an inconvenience rather than paying customers. There was absolutely no attempt at being welcoming or helpful. What made this worse was the clear difference in how guests were treated. One rule seemed to apply to English guests and completely different rules for German and Spanish guests. We repeatedly saw other nationalities being spoken to politely, helped quickly and allowed things that we were told “no” to. It felt uncomfortable and unfair, and definitely not what you expect on a holiday where everyone is paying the same money. Food was poor throughout the stay — bland, cold and often not even properly ready when service began. There was no care taken with presentation or quality, and meals felt chaotic and badly managed. Entertainment was rubbish and barely worth staying in the hotel for. Outside the hotel wasn’t any better — the local area is very run down and almost everything shuts by around 9pm, so evenings were incredibly dull. We had to change rooms twice just to get the room and view we had already paid for. When we finally got it, the room and view were nice — but that should have been correct from the start, not after multiple complaints. Overall, the service was unacceptable, the atmosphere was unfriendly, and the hotel is clearly not geared towards English guests. We would never stay here again and would absolutely not recommend it to anyone.

Stayed 14 nights from 20 Dec to 3 Jan, paid partly by card and partly in cash — food was terrible, cold, and extremely limited, completely failing the 4★ all-inclusive standard.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would gladly recommend it to others. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The location was perfect, close to major attractions and convenient transportation. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of fresh options. Housekeeping maintained high standards throughout my stay. Overall, the hotel offered excellent value for money and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I truly enjoyed my experience and look forward to staying here again in the future.

We are here for our anniversary again ! It’s 5th time and the hotel looks better in cleaning, food quality and activities ! People at reception are very nice and helpful. Marina , the guest experience manager is a true jewelery for the hotel ! Always with a smile and ready to help everyone! Looking to her you feel you will be treated correct in this hotel . A big plus is the position of the hotel which is very close to a beautiful beach and shops avenue . We will return with our families and friends for sure !

⭐☆☆☆☆ Unsafe Pool, No Accountability, Poor Management During our stay at Sol Meliá Fuerteventura, our child was injured by a sharp broken tile in the swimming pool (we have clear photos). At first, staff were friendly and helped contact a doctor for stitches, saying the hotel’s insurance would cover it. Later we received a letter saying we must pay the full amount ourselves. When we finally spoke with the manager, there was no apology at all — we were simply told to pay first and then “try to claim later” from hotel insurance. Meanwhile, the dangerous tile was never repaired. This shows a complete lack of safety, responsibility, and basic customer service. Management clearly has no understanding of guest care or accountability. We will never use Meliá hotels again and strongly warn families to be cautious.
