I was abit apprehensive about staying here as the reviews were either really positive or really poor. The food is average, if you’re into seasoning your food this isn’t the place for you, it’s also very repetitive. The entertainment was poor for children but entertaining for adults as the singers on each night were great at what they do, it just gets a little repetitive especially if you’re here for a week. I couldn’t really sit back and enjoy the evenings as I was concerned about the safety levels for my children. The tennis court leads onto the street wwhere the lorry’s unload which is shocking and really concerning as your child can just wander out on to the streets and god only knows who is on the streets at night. The kids club entertainer is lovely and really friendly, she defo needs a pay rise as it’s a lot for just one person. The games room floor is really filthy, it needs a good scrub as children are in there constantly and they could easily pick up a nasty bug. It needs a revamp entirely. The baby pool floor surface needs redoing as it’s chipping away and you can almost feel the floor lifting in the middle if you stand in the pool. On the plus side this place has potential, our bungalow was clean and the staff are very very polite and the cleaners were incredible, nothing was too big of an ask. If the food is improved and the games room is sorted and the security levels are better on the resort we’d happily come back.

BLUESEA Alyssa suite was the hotel we booked for 7 nights. * In our room there was mould in the bathroom behind the door and down the bedroom mirror. * We had Lights hanging broken over the bed, * Bugs on the floor such as ants and other bugs * Stains on our white pillows. * The double bed that was advertised was actually 2 single beds pushed together on wheels, made it impossible to sleep without falling through the middle. * Says there’s a flat screen tv. Tv does not work. Remote is dusty and could only turn on the tv. Doesn’t work past that. No channels options. If you’re stuck inside you have to make your own fun with no wifi or tv. * No WiFi in rooms. * It rained one day of our stay quite heavily as I believe it was a storm, We woke up to our hotel floor flooded as all villas are ground floor terrace and they’re large gaps under all 3 doors (2 doors leading to an outside empty box 1 door is the main door) so water spills in rapidly through the gaps. - staff didn’t want to help just gave us more towels so had to spend the day wringing towels and drying our stuff. Stuck inside. Luckily passports were dry. * Shower door doesn’t close fully so additional flooding when you take a shower which might explain the bathroom mould. * Main building was leaking during the rain so most dining chairs were soaked and had water dripping on our heads. They had brown towels on the floor in the restaurant and reception. * We paid for all inclusive but it’s not. You get 1 cocktail of the day. We asked for a menu but you have to pay for any cocktails on the menu that was out, or you needed a voucher. Bartenders also weren’t sure on what all inclusive was allowed. So neither was we. * Sport facilities unsafe to use. No netting and slabs of stone like kitchen counter tops piled onto the court. * Hidden costs for water, towels, drinks even though it’s all inclusive. Taking deposits for trips then not explaining if we get it back or not. Had to chase them down for a deposit but paid full price at the event. * All inclusive stops at 11pm but we got told the bar is open until 12am so past 11 you have to pay. * Overall all inclusive customers communication was unclear had no idea what you’ve paid for. * Rude reception staff that huffed and puffed to help us book activities, refused to move us out the mouldy room, they said they’ll have a look at the mould but when we came back after 2 days at another hotel WE paid for to escape ..it was still there. They fussed more about the hanging LED light than the mould. No one came to fix it. * Had to book another hotel for 2 nights for nearly half a grand out of our OWN money NO HELP from staff. But was so desperate to move hotel because it was UNSAFE to be in the one we booked. And they refused to move us. If it rained we would get flooded, breathing in mould, bugs and everything falling apart. So we’ve paid for the price of 2 hotels for this holiday. * Advertised as adult entertainment programme. “Live m

Excellent resort with high cleanliness and, mostly, very helpful colleagues. The food options, for the family, were fantastic and more than enough of each option to give them a good choice and, if they liked it, enough to go back for more. Quite a small resort so it is not too busy or crowded communal areas. If you want a pick of the best sun loungers, you need to be up early as guests were ‘reserving’ these at 8AM on most days (Even though signage discourages this with a 45 minute removal rule). Playa Blanca is a 5 minute taxi (€4) ride or 20 minute walk. Situated right next to Montaňa Roja volcano which is, definitely, worth walking up (if you enjoy walking). It takes around 20 minutes from the hotel to the top and gives spectacular views of the island. Aqualava waterpark is a 10 minute walk from the resort and recommended for a fun family day. ***COELIACS BE ADVISED*** I contacted Bluesea prior to booking enquiring about Gluten Free options (for myself) and was rest assured that GF options would be accommodated and food could be prepared in the kitchen and to, simply, inform the reception each morning with lunch/dinner requests. Most days, after requesting and agreeing a time to arrive, I arrived at the restaurant to be told the kitchen were not aware of my order and had to prepare at the time which made for longer meal times for my family. The GF options were pasta and pizza. The pasta was served without any sauce (so I didn’t order that again!). The pizzas were ok but not amazing. On the last day, when ordering my evening meal, the receptionist (I won’t give the name!) told me just to get to the buffet early! I explained that I cannot use the buffet as it is a sensitive allergy and cannot risk cross contamination but was not given any other option. I asked the sous-chef on the chicken grill to place the chicken, directly, on my plate instead of placing in a buffet tray but kept saying “It’s the same thing” so I was unable to have anything. I understand that the kitchen colleagues are busy accommodating for hundreds of guests, and there is a language barrier (although I DID learn “ Tengo un gluten y cuando es alérgico”!), but was assured, prior to going, and when checking in, that this would not be a problem. In short, great resort for families but, if you or one of the party needs Gluten Free, be prepared to, either, take your chances on the buffet and risk being ‘glutened’ or survive, mostly, on fruit.

Waiting at the airport for the flight back to the UK after a great 11 day stay, we'd seen good reviews online and on social media when we booked, and were surprised and concerned to see so many negative reviews after the rebranding, we needn't have worried. The hotel is a bit of a walk downhill to the sea front, 20 minutes if you dawdle, and then you can turn right to the lighthouse - 50 minutes each way, or left to the long stretch of bars and shops, finally ending up at Las Colarades, which is a good walk, but not for the light hearted in the heat. There's a bus stop into town a few minutes from the hotel, and taxis are around €4.50 to the main town taxi rank We really enjoyed the food, lots of choice at all meals, fresh fish or meat is cooked on the griddle at most meals, hot local dishes and a wide choice of desserts and salads is always available If you're going for pie and mash, cottage pie or your Sunday roast you will be out of luck, plain pasta, sauce, chips and a couple of breadcrumbed delights are available, but the majority of food is local, lots of fresh clams, mussels, seafood and fish, and either grilled pork or chicken, occasionally steak, paella with a wide choice of veg and carbs, the fresh bread in the mornings is a delight The grounds are immaculately tended by the gardeners, and the bungalows are pristine thanks to the army of domestic staff The staff really are the jewel in the crown of the hotel, and particular thanks must go to Laura who organised a huge bouquet of flowers along with balloons hanging from the ceiling for my partners birthday, bar staff and restaurant staff, thankyou to you all xxx

To start on a positive note, the hotel was clean, the food and drink offerings were generally okay, and the staff were friendly and well-motivated. However, when we let ourselves into Apartment 613, it seemed as though we were probably the first people to use it this year. The balcony was filthy (covered in what were probbaly flecks of paint dislodged by the winter weather), the TV didn't work, there was no wifi in the room (despite this being specifically promised by Jet2), and the phone didn't work, the washbasin was cracked, and the decorators who'd recently given the apartment a fresh coat of white emulsion hadn't bothered to take the blinds down first, with predictable consequences. We reported the balcony, phone, TV and wifi to reception, whereupon the balcony was cleaned pretty promptly, but the phone TV and wifi remained unusable throughout our stay. This was a pity, because the weather wasn't great and the lack of comfortable sheltered seating areas meant that we would have enjoyed spending time in the apartment. Overall, we sensed that Bluesea have taken over an hotel that had been long overdue to receive some urgently required renewals and maintenance, and there was evidence that this process was underway, so it may well be that the hotel improves considerably as the season progresses.

A lovely week away despite it being a bit overcast on several days which can’t be helped. The hotel is a complex of numerous bungalows with a hotel building being the main hub for food/drink and information. The hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful at reception, advising us on places to visit and booking taxis All taxi’s to several different places were no more then 7 euros, with 4 euros being the cheapest Hotel/bungalow has been updated, cleaned daily with new towels and bedding.. also English tv gives nice familiar feeling in the morning Hotel pool bar was good, daily cocktails, wine, beers and spirits. Keep a couple of euros as they require you to pay 1 euro per cup so you return them when you finish… this doesn’t happen in the evening and you are given glasses. Hotel pool was very cold buts only just turned march. Food in the hotel was decent always find something to eat… we were happy with breakfast, lunch and dinner were mainly fish, meat with salad and sometimes pizza if we felt like it All in all a very nice place and very reasonable for what you get

Great complex, well maintained & immaculately clean (never saw one cockroach). Accommodation individual bungalows with private terrace including sun loungers, table & chairs! The accommodation was adequate for our stay, beds comfy, pillows could be wider. Plenty wardrobe/ storage space. Furniture nice but sofa could do with repair or renewed. Pool & surrounding area very clean. Pool Bar good with entertainment in the evening. Restaurant nice with good choice for breakfast never eat in there in the evening. If you want a relaxing holiday either privacy or pool side we would definitely recommend this complex. Staff very friendly & helpful. Complex is approx 15 min walk to main sea front bars, restaurants etc but taxis only 3-4 euros. We will definitely go back !

Our stay was generally very good on all counts except for the evening meal which was disappointing. It was of limited choice with bland, samey food options, unlike last year before it changed hands.
