The mattresses were terribly bad, we sank into them. Food was overall ok but not a single decent piece of meat, not even a chicken was edible. Chewy and yuk. Prawns were good, deserts were good. Our week at the hotel was really nice. Of course because of the weather, but mostly because of the staff. Particularly the 2 men at the snackbar by the pool. The sound isolation was super bad and I could even hear the click sound of next door playing Duolingo. It was also easy to hear them talk although their voice wasn’t high. The Robinson Club is nice, but unfortunately, the watersports offerings have deteriorated. The head of the base is unfriendly and lazy. Ultimately, his focus is on preserving his equipment and selling courses to the guests. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Visited in September 2022 as well as this year. It is not often that returning somewhere actually gives a better impression than what you remember, but this was certainly true here. The outdoor heated pool is a rare luxury. The entire hotel and pool area is exceptionally well maintained and scrupulously clean. The staff are friendly and attentive. The service at the bar was a hit or a miss. The service at the reception was excellent. The entertainment was good. I liked that there was 2 different places for entertainment every night. I would have preferred a dance floor at the lobby bar. Clara from Brazil was the best entertainment. Samu was great too.

This is our second time here. We came last year for our son's birthday and came back because we had such an outstanding time. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are clean, the food is exceptional and the staff, particularly the animation team, make the whole experience spectacular. I would like to keep this place to myself and not advertise how great our it is but we would be doing the staff a disservice...

There are some notable positives: decent and varied food (although I'd agree with others' comments about wet plates and glasses); loads of sunbeds; a fault with the room key/room not serviced/telephone didn't work...all sorted swiftly within an hour. We stayed for 10 days in February. Loved it. Great location spotlessly clean staff were so helpful and friendly. Maybe evening entertainment could be improved some nights but otherwise couldn’t fault it.

Our 10th year in the Calypso. The hotel refurbishment was amazing, so much changed in such a short time. Downsides: No hot tub, Television in ridiculous dominating position in the bedroom room. Especially, being British there were no channels we could watch, and the link to Netflix didn't work. Miss the bar on the ground floor. There is now only one bar you can actually visit. Hotel is lovely, fabulous room and balcony. Could do with an umbrella but with the wind probably not practical. Spotless and the cleanest general toilets I have ever seen. The bar in the foyer being open more hours. Staff are lovely and friendly and very obliging and obviously enjoy working there. Food fine but could have done with a bit more variety but a lovely break in January.

I so wanted to rate this 5 Stars but for me 5 Stars means it was a faultless holiday which it was not. The positives are. After finally getting off the coach from the airport a 2 1/4 hour journey stopping at 10 hotels before ours( thanks TUI), we were checked in quite quickly by a rather rude, abrupt German lady.
