Melia Cala d'Or Boutique Hotel in Cala d'Or

We have visited this hotel for near on 18 years,and have visited nearly every year since,sometimes twice and a couple of times three times ! Our children ( 2 boys ) have has wonderful times at the Hotel,and will continue to do so even though one has approached adulthood and the other is in his teens Grand parents have also enjoyed their stays over the years We will have probably stayed in practically every type of room,and we cannot remember ever having to contact reception for any issues Breakfast has always been wonderful We tend to eat out in the evenings,but really enjoy the Lunches in the pool bar In fact,we have missed it so much,we have just booked to go before it closes in a couple of weeks....cant wait

A very pretty setting for the hotel, amongst trees and mainly very quiet. We had a junior suite on the ground floor which, while spacious, had a very strange layout. Wardrobe space in the lounge and the bathroom, but none in the bedroom! Our view was of the playground which was a little disappointing - would be worth requesting a view of the pool, if possible. We opted for half board which, in hindsight, was not the best plan. Although the food is good and made to order, the menu is the same each night apart from chef’s special starter and main. There is the option to have lunch instead of dinner, which we did a couple of times, but wish we had just chosen bed & breakfast as there are so many places to eat in town. The pool area is lovely - well maintained and even a lifeguard who wasn’t really necessary at this time of year. We used both outdoor and indoor pools although outdoors was pretty chilly! I can only compliment all the staff, who work incredibly hard and are all exceptionally helpful and friendly. Vera has been mentioned by others; she certainly ensures that you have everything you need. Thanks goes to all the waiting staff with a mention for Sergio who managed to remember so many details of our drinks and food preferences! Overall, a lovely place to stay but maybe go for the b&b option.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My mum and dad recently stayed here to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday, and the hotel made it such a memorable experience! From the moment they arrived, the staff went above and beyond — they were surprised with a beautiful cake, a bottle of wine, and thoughtful handwritten messages waiting for them when they returned to their room. The attention to detail and genuine care from the team truly stood out. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every part of their stay felt special. An amazing hotel with wonderful people who can’t do enough for you — thank you for making their celebration so unforgettable! — Charlie

Lovely hotel Stefan made us feel so welcome on arrival and throughout our stay Spacious and clean rooms lovely balcony The food at the pool bar is amazing and the staff are lovely. It was my husband’s birthday we went for a walk and came back to champagne and cake in our room which was a lovely touch and most appreciated. We stayed at this hotel for the day/ evening during our return from holiday. We paid £360 + for the day, which seems expensive considering I'm seeing it offered at less than £300 for overnight stays. The greeting arrival was very good, although the reception was often busy with only one person and the concierge it meant wanting for a chance to speak with them. The hotel facilities are nice and the pools are warm and comfortable, I'd suggest this is more 4* than 5. The rooms are excellent and the bathrooms very pleasant. There are some unruly children that utilise the indoor pool, I don't think this should be allowed, only accompanied children should be swimming alone in indoor pools, that are not in public view.

Haven of peace. Set in beautiful grounds with comfortable, well-equiped spotless rooms. Delicious breakfast choices. Polite and efficient staff. Best nearby beach is Cala Gran - easy walking distance. Cala D'or is super busy with dozens of restaurants. Mostly family-based fun vibe. Probably at its best in May/June and September. Definitely would recommend

This was our 2nd visit to this beautiful hotel situated near the heart of Cala D’Or. We 1st visited just after our son & daughter in law got married 10 years ago. This time we returned with them and our two youngest granddaughters (4 & 6). The rooms were lovely & clean as was the whole hotel. The pool is small but that meant we could keep an eye on the youngsters all the time. There’s also a dedicated children’s area of the pool which meant smaller children could play safely in shallower water There were plenty of sunbeds for all the guests but a lot of people left their towels on the beds once they finished with them as they were replaced everyday with clean ones. This meant you weren’t always sure which beds were in use - an are management needs to perhaps look at? Although not a big choice of food the breakfast buffet was very popular with our two little ones. The pool bar food is really nice and we took to having lunch there everyday followed by an evening cocktail before going out for dinner. All the staff were really friendly and the grounds are immaculately kept. We’ve already discussed visiting again.

The perfect hotel for our family group of 13 ,celebrating our parents 80th & 90th birthdays . Exceptionally friendly staff , beautiful grounds , small and peaceful, close to the town with some really lovely restaurants . Perhaps a busier town than we expected , but we were able to get away from it all ,within the hotel grounds . Some pretty beaches nearby, but quite busy so we preferred the pool area . Would highly recommend. The only thing missing was a sea view , but for the price and peace and quiet , the balance was perfect for us.

The room is OK, but the soundproofing is a bit poor; the facilities are OK and not very new; but the service of the staff is very good, the location is not far from the beach, and there are some restaurants around
