Hotel Misiana in Tarifa

We are here at the moment for 4 nights, we cannot say enough t about the place completely new, lovely reception, room excellent, we used to stay here before it closed after COVID, 100% better restaurant very nice for breakfast, evening menu looks very good.

I cannot praise this hotel enough! From the moment I walked through the door, I got a lovely friendly welcome from Katherine, the German lady on reception. And the decor in reception is beautiful. This followed through to the decor in my bedroom (single bedroom number 304). Absolutely beautiful, the bed was so comfortable. And everything so clean. No complaints! For the rest of my 3 days there, the other receptionists were so friendly. The hotel has a great friendly vibe. And its location is perfect, right in the centre of the old town. It cannot be more central! 5 minutes walk down to the beach. The next time that I go back to Tarifa, I will be staying here again. Thank you to everyone there!

The hotel was in a great location. The staff were friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. A coffee machine in the room was great along with robes. We had a room overlooking the high street with view of the church and castle. Couldn’t ask for more.

This was a cute little boutique hotel in the middle of Tarifa. Despite the partying just streets away, the hotel was calm and quiet. Maria at reception was kind, thoughtful, and so helpful--she even recommended a dinner spot that turned out to be delicious! Would highly recommend if you're catching the ferry to Tangier--it's just a few minutes walking distance from the port, and such a comfortable place to stay.

Had the pleasure of staying here for three nights and it is exactly the type of hotel we like to stay in. We are nervous travellers and the staff were always so cheerfully helpful to all our needs, the location to what we like to see was perfect and the view from our window was the best of our trip so far, an unexpected gem, sad to leave .

Great location in the heart of the old town. Has a bit of a shabby chic feel to it. Really nice bar area on the front. Rooms a good size and decent air conditioning. Kettle provided in the room, although no fridge. You can’t get anywhere near the hotel with a car as it’s pedestrianised, we parked in a secure car park about 10 mins walk away which was easy, it was 18 euros a day though so not cheap. The rooms don’t have balconies although we had large windows that opened onto a great view of the old town and down to the sea. We didn’t eat at the hotel although it did look good. We ate instead at Un Lugar and Cafe 10 and would recommend both. Would definitely stay on this hotel again.

Had a lovely meal, great aperitif and equally good wine.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, the cheeses and cured meats were really tasty and presented. The Patas bravas was well cooked and flavoured, but seemed like we were served an exceptionally good potion of French fries. We mentioned this to our waiter who brought out the potato shredder (see pic) that he demonstrated and explained how they make their own fries daily, along with bravas dressing. Made for a enjoyable evening for casual tapas and drinking. Funky, fun venue and decor.

Lovely terrace… a beer outside surrounded by music… perfect atmosphere

If I ever come back to Tárifa, I want to sleep in this hotel again. I got a room 403, it was very tiny, but cute, full of light and nice views. I left windows opened for sleeping, yet did not hear much noice from the street. At morning I woke up with birds signing.
The receptionist Maria was smiling, friendly and super helpful with local tips, ordering taxi and keeping an eye on my backpack which I could leave with her after my check out.

Stayed for 2 night during the summer of 2014 while visiting Tarifa with friends. The desk clerk was friendly and gave us suggestions on what to do and where to eat while in town. The room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely be staying at the Hotel Misiana while on my next visit!
