Malaga Picasso in Malaga

Had three great nights here. The Picasso is close to the airport €20 taxi trip away. Located in a quiet residential area, great room with the bonus of a bath and great shower. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, only thing which would have improved it would have been if the weather had been warmer so we could sit outside. The bus stop for the number 5 is a couple of streets away and runs regularly taking straight into Malaga. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

This nice and quiet hotel is hidden in a beautiful neighborhood close to the airport. There is a bus that takes you to Malaga just a short walk from the hotel.
Lovely room that seems fairly new. Bed is firm.
Pool and Jacuzzi just a few steps from the room. The garden is gorgeous.
Great price.

The Hotel ist really lovely in a quiet and beautiful area. The service is amazing and prices are more than fair.
I especially recommend to book a massage with Vanessa. She is a very skilled therapist. Best deep-tissue-massage ever.

This place is fantastic- near to the beach and local shops. The rate is unbelievable for what you get. Everything you ever need is in your room, but I recommend you enjoy the outside (even in winter seasons)- there is a big pool, a jazuzzi and plenty of seating. They do offer a small menu for nibbles, like tapas, pizza etc that you can order up to 10 PM. Staff are fantastic and very accommodating- there is always someone at the reception area ready to greet you. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

Key things to note:

In terms of location- it's about 10 mins drive from the airport. I paid 25 euros but if you book via uber, it should be around 14 euros. The nearest beach is a 5 minute walk away, not very busy at all. There are also local shops and eateries.

Toiletries- I recommend getting your own. There are some supplied but in very little quantities. There is no bath/shower mat, so floor can be very slippery.

Food/Drinks- as stated in my review above, they do offer a menu with snack type items (fried chips, cheese, meats, pizza), the more substantial offering of Paella is also available. It's okay but if you're looking to taste fine Spanish cuisine, you are best going elsewhere. A good selection of soft drinks, hot drinks and alcohol. **Also, to note: there is a mini bar in the rooms, its not free, you have to pay for what you take out of there, but prices are very low**

Noise: During the day, you can hear the aeroplanes. Evening times, it can get a bit loud- depending on the behaviour of other guests. I did wake up a few times as there was loud talking, banging etc. Having said that, this wouldn't put me off staying here at all.

The family and staff are always smiling and happy to help, everywhere is clean and tidy with a gorgeous (cold!) pool and jacuzzi, plus well kept gardens.

The very welcome addition of Vanessa offering superb massages, was a real treat too!

Malaga historic area and the Alcazaba are definitely worth a visit (only €1.40 on the bus!), as is the nearby National Park if you like bird-watching and walking through pretty areas.

As you can tell, I loved my stay and already thinking of my next trip there in 2026!

Super clean hotel, awesome breakfast (although I think the price was too high) lovely location, super quiet, lovely staff and so close to the airport. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing boutique hotel we booked for our family trip to Andalucia, we wanted to be on the beach and also outside Malaga so we can travel along the coast. We had a rent a car and parking place, not to worry about it. The hotel is in Guadalmar, beautiful neighborhood, quiet, peaceful area, where beach is in 5 minutes walking. Hotel is modern, staff was pleasant, room was spacious and the terrace we had made it perfect for our family, with view from the terrace on the pool. Clean, modern and tidy room, highly recommend it to everyone specially if you are with kids, want to be in the center of Costa del Sol and yet have peace and quite. Definitely considering coming again since we love the coast, hotel and neighborhood!

Fabulous, quiet hotel with glorious gardens and pool, in lovely residential area, with a few restaurants within walking distance. Bus ride away from central Malaga, ten minute walk away from the beach the locals use ...and the icing on the cake for me was finding the beautiful natural park to bird-watch bee eaters, flamingoes and many, many more birds! Alba on reception (and serving evening light meals) was a credit to the hotel - patient, knowledgeable and always smiling. Breakfast was good too. Ensure you book the airport taxi through the hotel as Uber charged me more for the (prepaid) booking fee, than the actual trip cost! Already planning a return trip in September!

Quiet, chilled, a lovely visit to relax after hectic 5 days around Andalucia. Convenient for the airport home but also close to a nice beach and a lovely beach bar. Would recommend if you want peace and quiet. The staff were happy to provide drinks and Tapas.
