Basque Country, San Sebastian, Paseo De Salamanca 10 🧭 Map
The room has a slightly unusual shape, but it wasn’t an issue at all for a solo traveler. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The location is very convenient, especially for hopping between nearby tapas bars.
The location of this hotel is unbeatable if you’re in San Sebastián to explore the culinary delights of the old town. We opted for a sea view room and it was worth every penny. Waking up to the waves crashing against the rocks, right outside our window was such a special experience.
The only downside, and this did have quite a negative impact on our stay, was that the bed was so hard! I’ve stayed...
Great location. Very nice and helpful staff. Nice room with plenty of hot water. Comfy beds. Would stay again but not in the same room. Such a shame about the noise from the working garage below our room (102) early morning until late evening.
The room was spotless, and the staff was a great pleasure to deal with. This hotel is a real surprise. Its humble aspect is contradicted by superb attentiveness and dramatic location.
Great location across from the sea and walkway. In Old Town with all the history, shops, restaurants, bars and lots of Pintxos! Staff was very nice and arranged a taxi for us for an early morning ride to the train station. Room was great with a wonderfuk shower and fluffy towels!
What a gorgeous property, Beautiful furnishing, clean, friendly with wonderfull views of the ocean
Great access to a great beach

I felt myself very comfortable in the hotel. My room was quite, the staff were polite and helpful, the breakfast was many kinds of food. So, In San Sebastian this hotel gave me for my staying the fulness. :)
- Room was clean
- Whole Service friendly
- Check-in / check-out worked well as expected
- Location a bit off from center, but still well connected to public Transport & also just a 20/25 min walk by foot
- Great value for money
In our opinion, the hotel was in a good location. The bus stop is just behind it and it is only about a 10 minute ride (four stops) to La Concha Beach, and about seven stops to a very lively section of town with lots of restaurants. We felt our room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. These are important things.
However, the floor we were on could really use some physical upkeep. There are...
The reception is not 24hr, but they communicated with me via WhatsApp.
New hotel with a clean and minimalistic streamlined design, located in a nice city suburb.
Nice hotel, very clean, very friendly, good location, free parking nearby, not far from the beach, etc... :D

We traveled Northern Spain for 3 weeks and this was our absolute favorite stay! We loved everything about it and so glad we booked it. The staff are amazingly kind and helpful, the rooms and beds were so comfortable. Great shower! Transportation is so easy to and from and the view and location just cannot be beat!
This was our last stop on our 6 week tour of Spain and this hotel was our favourite because it has the personal touch. The family who own it can’t do enough for you and are very kind. It’s not an impersonal chain but a family run place and they make you feel very at home. Our room had amazing views over the bay, the beds very comfortable and it was all very clean. The homemade cakes were delicious...
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s up on a hill above San Sebastián so quiet and peaceful with amazing sea views and sheep grazing in the garden below our room. There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel with buses every 15 minutes to whisk you down to the old town or further up the hill. The hotel is family run with very friendly helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again and highly...
Turned up to San Sebastián in a camper can not expecting to get into one of the two official sites. So looking for a hotel that was available that day, had parking and didn’t cost a fortune. Hotel Leku Eder fitted those criteria so booked. Wasn’t expecting much but was massively surprised. The hotel seemed far more than two star, the staff were lovely and took time to explain about the area, how...
We had an amazing stay. The staff is so friendly. Rooms are very clean! We will definitely come back.
Hotel Leku Eder was a perfect stop for us. It is up in the hills with amazing views. Although a bit out of town, there is an excellent bus connection into San Sebastián and the stop is right outside the door. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, with a lot of good tips and information. (Take their recommendation for dining in the small town about a 15 minute walk away.) It is an older hotel...

Clean big room with sea view & courteous reception staff
The view was stunning and is hotel is close to main attractions.
Quaint, old fashioned little hotel, great location on a quuer street across from beach & near funicolure. But noisy inside, walls are paper thin, plumbing was loud & rattling as was fridge in my room & curtains were covered in mould.
Location and staff were very good. They lack food, meals, vending machines options. The breakfast offered was not the best.
This is a true gem ! its a very nice property located across the street from the beach and a beautiful promenade. 20 min walk to the old town or 9 Euro by taxi ( I am sure there is a bus). Very nice and spacious room and bathroom. Staff is fantastic ( both friendly and knowledgably) Great dining options around the corner. I hope to come back
this hotel is very nice. They don't guarantee parking, but we were able to park in the driveway and leave the key with the staff, and they managed to move cars around and fit everyone in, which was great.
We had a little balcony, and could see the view, which I recommend requesting.
As much as I love this hotel, I would have preferred to be closer to the old town where all the better dining options...

Recently stayed here for 3 nights. Before arrival I was contacted on whatsapp to say they were looking forward to welcoming us and upon arrival to the moment we left, all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean, large and had great views over the city. We decided to have breakfast, which was decent and had plenty of options to set you up for the day. The location worked...
Super friendly Stoff providing information about public transportation. Enough free parking lots. Nice view oder the City (congress center and Stadium).
It is always a great pleasure to return to this hotel when my work brings me to Bilbao. The rooms are clean and the staff is always very kind, willing to help. Walking down to the city is quick. The only thing I regret is that the breakfast starts at 7:30, which is a bit late for us.
Start with the frustrating parts - pre visit we received emails / texts almost insisting we check-in before arriving and not to arrive early (which we had no intention of doing) as they were busy. We didn’t like the tone of this and so ignored them! When we arrived we were met by the most charming of front desk staff (Eva in particular) who were super helpful and spoke very good English. Eva provided...
After a long 8.5hr drive, we arrived at the Hotel Artetex. We felt jaded & cranky, but were immediately impressed by it & its location. The swift check in & old fashioned proper metal key! When we entered our room the SPECTACULAR view of Bilbao City & Athletico Bilbao stadium below us from a proper Spanish window, we were ginning from ear to ear. Lovely room, comfy bed & great pillows, modern bathroom...
We were here for just one night, and didnt see much of the area around, as we used our time in Bilbao city. To start with the positives: The price is good and the rooms too. There was tea and boiler in the room. Free parking. Negatives: The walls are paperthin so our neighbor coughing all night kept us awake. Its a long way from Bilbao city center.

A very convenient location for a walk to beach, train and creek sidewalk!
Spotlessly clean, conveniently located, highly recommended
Great hotel. Intended on staying for one night and it was so great we stayed for 3 and loved the place. Staff are amazing and so helpful and friendly.
Fantastic hotel. Wonderful rooms. Planned to stay for one night and changed our holiday plans to stay here and enjoy this hotel and the area for 3 nights. Wonderful place.
We had economy rooms. They were really clean and nicely furnished, with super comfy beds and nice shampoo, body wash and hand lotion provided in the lovely bathrooms. The towels were white and fluffy, the air con was fabulous and the mini fridge was free of charge and refilled daily with water, iced tea and coke. At the end of the corridor was a little cafe style seating area with free tea, coffee...
This hotel doesn’t provide food but there is a mini fridge in the room and the drinks are free of charge and replenished daily. The beds are super comfy. Nice little balcony. Lovely bathroom and toiletries. Very quiet hotel. Nice area, again quiet, but only 15 minutes slow walk to old town through other nice areas. Lovely staff.

Other than a lack of parking in the old city, this place was fantastic. Great lication, well appointed and comfortable rooms.
This is my 3rd visit to Donostia so I have some experience with hotels, apts and pensions in the Old Town. I chose Ur-Alde for its convenient location, great value for price and excellent support before our arrival. Aitor and Mikel continued to provide 5-star support during our stay. Thank you for your patience and stamina! I needed a lot of help, when slow-travelling with my elderly mother.

We stayed in the Amsterdam room which is beautifully decorated and furnished. We stayed 3 nights and were very comfortable in this spacious room. The location is cental to the sights and we were able to walk everywhere. We will stay here again and strongly recommend it.
You get a room smack bang in the centre of the old town which is great, however it seems very much set up for couples so if you're travelling with a mate like I was, you may consider somewhere else. Overall though it was very convenient with totally autonomous entry and egress. Desk is supervised between 0900-1500
Very nice boutique hotel - four nice rooms excellently located in the old town. The rooms are nicely equipt. Very good service from the hotel manager. Though the price is at bit on the high side compared to what you get. Therefor i have only given 4 star rating
This place is a hidden gem! Right in the middle of Old Town….surrounded by restaurants and bars…super comfortable bed, wonderful shower, and the reception staff were always ready to help. My husband and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again….

Good location. Basic motel on the train line. There was no aircon and we had to sleep with the windows open so it was noisy. The staff where very helpful
I just went there for a coffee while i was waiting for the train to arrive. Nice coffee in a cafe with some charm, old style but it has everything that is expected to have. Clean toilets.
Great service, kind and informative, attached restaurant, and right next to Renfre train and bus station. Will stay here again.
Good location, clean room, friendly staff and good price (for 2 people for 5 nights) - recommended if are staying in San Sebastian
very good prices despite being part of a hotel next to the station. decent food but poor service during rush hour

Very nice hotel at city center, very close to la viña, reception is not available in thr afternoon, but all well establislhed, there is also a cofffee machine at entrance, rooms are enough spacious, bath clean
Quiet, clean and well located, And very helpful staff. Just make sure you check in online in advance if arriving out of hours as it won't be staffed. But it's a great place to stay, we'll be back
Ideal place for stay, close to many restaurants and also beach. I will definitely recommend it 👌
Modern, high tech & economical hotel with cozy, well maintained rooms. Relatively quiet, friendly help & service at hand. Free coffee and cakes (not gluten free) as well as wifi. Well located within level walking distance of Gloss neighborhood pincho bars, Old Town and even Funicular. Easy to park nearby but Plaza de Cataluña public parking is very expensive so best to look elsewhere. On balance it makes...
The hotel is clean, has great service, and feels quite upscale for the price. My wife and son enjoyed out stay immensely and we would have loved to stay longer. The staff was courteous and professional. We loved the coffee bar in the lobby and the cleaning staff is very accommodating.
If you will arrive late, ensure that you contact management in advance during open hours. Thus said, the process to...

Basic, very clean room as per the description with a tiled floor, good ensuite! The hotel is situated on an island in the middle of the Nervion river, and I felt totally safe at night walking back to the hotel on the island!
The hotel manager kindly highlighted spots to visit on a map he gave me. The cleaning lady was very helpful and kind, thanks very much to her for her assistance!
As others have...
Bright airy room. Friendly manager. We parked a hundred metres away on the street for free. We could have taken the metro into town but walked instead and what a good idea. 45 minutes across the Frank Gehry Bridge, along the river embankment, past the famous San Mamés Stadium, and Guggenheim museum further up, the kind of walk we didn’t go on when we previously stayed in the centre of town. A lovely...
super nice and helpful staff, plenty of free pastries in the morning. the only tging thing i would add is a couple hooks/ racks to hang up the towels in the bathroom
If you want to see and be seen, Bilbao has a few chinzy and pretentious hotels, and you will know them when you see them.
But Hotel Ria is the only hotel I've found that can transport you to traditional Bilbao. Open your window to see stunning river views from your room. Gaze at the museum quality old photographs on the walls. Retreat to the garden in the back and drink in the tranquility. Yes--it...
Very clean and well maintained hotel.
The location was not the best and the hotel had not parking but it was rather easy to find a parking spot plus it was a free zone.. the staff was really friendly and really helpful giving us a map and telling us good places to eat which places to avoid etc.. unfortunately there was no breakfast except for a coffee machine and some packaged croissants and muffins but they were available 24/7. Awesome experience. The person who runs the place is super helpful. Great manager! She offered to do my laundry for free.
I guess for the price you cant expect much. It was really worn and in need of paint and modernisation. The bathroom tiles looked like something from the 50’s But it was very clean and the location is fine. The staff was friendly and the bed was fine for a good nights sleep.
Great service, clean rooms and perfect location. This hotel is definitely underrated! And one adorable cat lives there)
very central. very nice people. clean and very comfortable
This hotel is lovely and clean. It's in a great area. Walking distance of restaurants and shopping area. The only problem l encountered wait was particularly hot at night and there is no AC. There was a fan. Otherwise couldn't fault it. Helpful staff.

Great location right on Playa Zurriola. not central but a very pleasant seaside walk gets to the old town in about 10~15 minutes.
My room was great, but had some missing baseboards and some pieces of the flooring had separated and collected some junk in the cracks. Hardly a fatal flaw.
Loved the location near the beach, such a beautiful place to see when you walk out thr door in the morning. The hotel staff can be loud in the morning, waking me up most days but overall, for the money, it was great value, comfortable (no frills) and I would happily stay there again.
My husband and I just stayed and we were
The property is basic- the bathroom and shower are tiny. But… the location is great if you want to spend time on the beach and the staff are very nice.
Best view
It was an amazing hotel,, the front desk employees were so friendly and welcoming, easy to check in and out,, the location is perfect even it’s in a busy area but it was so quiet and peaceful, the view was amazing, thank you and I’ll be back again
A warm welcome at this small hotel.
A lovely view across Gros bay from this seafront hotel . Our host in reception gave great local advice for bars and pinxos, as well as some handy basque phrases to use. The seaview room was modern and on dual levels (step up to seating / seaview window) and light was maximised by the use of an opaque glass enclosure around the shower / toilet room. We enjoyed the...
