Very helpful staff helped me plan my visit in Bilbao.

Hotel is nice and staff was great. Excellent water pressure in the shower! Close to old city and many attractions. The unfortunate part is that there are many pickpockets about and you must be constantly vigilant.

Location The area where the hotel is situated, is a bit rough and ready, but the people are open and friendly and it wasn't a problem.

Very friendly staff and clean rooms. We were just passing through and arrived at midnight. The concierge went to the kitchen and made tapas for us even if the kitchen was closed because we mentioned we had not had anything to eat yet.

Really lovely. There is no bar or resturant at the moment which is a bind if you are on foot like I was, but hotels with both are around without having to go too far. Perfect little hotel high on a hillside overlooking the sea. If you're a fan of modern design then it's not for you, but it's quiet, clean, comfortable and has really friendly staff. If you have a car and don't want to be right in San Sebastián city centre, I highly recommend this lovely independent hotel.

For a four star hotel we expected more. The room smelled like cheap room spray, it smelled awfully. In the morning people were constantly moving chairs, we could hear everything, it was extremely loud. We wouldn’t go again.

The flower boxes need to be freshened...old plastic and dead plants aren't inviting. The toast for all the breakfast choices was way too hard to eat...like stone. Don't toast the bread!!! We stayed 6 nights and tried them all. Also, don't mix all the cereal and yogurt and fruit together in a big mess. All the ingredients should be separate. The ingredients for the breakfasts were nice quality otherwise

Pleasant stay Hotel Donosti was very pleasant and ideal stop for us. It was great to have tea/ coffee facilities in the room.

Great little place in a quiet neighborhood. Walkable from the city center, or there's a bus stop 2 minutes away. The staff is amazing and the room was very cozy and clean. We will come back to this boutique hotel on our next trip to San Sebastián. Gracias!

I stayed at NH Bilbao Deusto early August 25 as it's fairly close to the port of Bilbao 21km. It's a very basic hotel with a small dining area for breakfast with no social areas apart from a small seated area around reception. Rooms and beds are comfortable with TV which has one English channel 'BBC news' , fridge and safe. Usual bathroom facilities with shower over bath. Good carpark in the basement...

Excellent hotel within walking distance of the city. Everyone was really friendly and kind. We asked to move rooms on the second night to get twin beds and they couldn't have been more accommodating. The man on reception even had to put up with all of us Spurs fans and he was joked along and joined in. He was great

This is not a fancy hotel, but it has been recently renovated. We got a fantastic room, relatively large with a terrace. We could not have been happier. And the location is ideal, within walking distance of the Guggenheim museum and the center of Bilbao.

Given its location near Bilbao's city center and train station, it's a good value option. During my stay, I didn't experience the soundproofing issues mentioned in other reviews. However, the outdated room facilities were a problem; there were no power outlets by the bed, no hairdryer, and the bathroom had a bathtub instead of a shower, which raised concerns about hygiene.

Staff was helpful, and location was excellent. The common area is small and out of the way. Our room was clean but amenities were spartan. The pension felt a bit overpriced. Bilbao is worth visiting, not only for the Guggenheim Museum, but for the old town, the food, and Basque atmosphere.

BYPILLOW Irala is basically fine. It’s convenient that you can store your luggage in lockers upon arrival, which is handy if your room isn’t ready yet. However, the reception has rather odd opening hours, making check-in and general inquiries a bit inconvenient. The hotel conveniently located close to the center, to the grocery stores, in a relatively quiet street. My room was tiny, but had a refrigerator. I think the hotel is overpriced though.

The location is clean and quiet. The ensuite bathroom lacks heating and there's a bad smell coming from the shower drain.

The stay was nice. I'd have to say that the Hotel could benefit from some additional services. It's hard to imagine that in this day and age, there isn't a single vending machine. I was unable to find coffee until the next morning, which is pretty upsetting for caffeine addicts such as myself. A wonderful hotel with incredibly friendly staff. Even though we arrived well before check-in, we were able to shower and freshen up after our journey, and then immediately set off to explore the wonderful city of Bilbao! The Guggenheim Museum is just a short walk away. The breakfasts were delightful, and the coffee was delicious!

It was good, but for example, they had a full parking lot, so we had to leave our car on the street. Several times when we used the bathroom, it smelled like sewage. The staff was excellent, the mattresses were 10 points, the location was exceptional, and the neighborhood was very good.

Great location right on Playa Zurriola. not central but a very pleasant seaside walk gets to the old town in about 10~15 minutes. My room was great, but had some missing baseboards and some pieces of the flooring had separated and collected some junk in the cracks. Hardly a fatal flaw.

Short stay in San Sebastián As we were driving we picked this hotel as it was near the motorway for our next journey. It was a 20 minute walk into town which was ideal for us. Also on a bus route which ran every 5 minutes. Also had underground parking which we needed as we could leave baggage in car.

Property was fine, breakfast fine staff very good. If you require parking make sure you book in advance. There is remote parking very cheap but not straight forward to get a ticket.

We went to the restaurant as we saw it did a good selection of fish, salads and had a vegan option. The vegan burger was a spinach and chickpea burger with grilled corgette and aubergine garnish with guacamole sauce. Great if you're that end of town and want a decent vegan option
