Pension Altair in San Sebastian

Stayed here in October 2023 for 2 nights. In a nutshell, the accommodation was exactly as expected, clean, secure and very well located just 10-15 minutes walk from Central / bus + train stations / Old Town.

We stayed in room 101 (double room with balcony). Decent sized room, bathroom + some wardrobe space. Check in is easy and straightforward. I would say it is very good relative value and would def stay here again. I am confused by the posts with lower ratings - if you are expecting the room (incl bed mattress) and facilities to be akin to a 4-5 star hotel clearly this would not be the right place, but it does not proclaim to be and nor is the price reflective of that (much like a Premier Inn or Travel Lodge in UK). For a weekend trip where you will be spending most of your time out eating and drinking, cannot fault it. Would recommend.

Amazing staff, every time you have a problem, they fix it with no issues. Bathroom was clean and tidy, shower had a perfect water pressure. After your stay, you can even leave your luggage in the reception for the rest of the day, at no charge. Also, brilliant location, 3 minutes from the beach!

Excellent accommodation right in the heart of the town . Very comfortable modern and very clean. Would stay here again!!

Very good pension, great location walking distance from the center, bus station, beaches (10'each). Clean, nice and friendly personnel. Great rooms.

Small and quiet hotel with friendly staff. Good room with modern bathroom and airconditioning. Room is not the biggest but big enough. Walking distance to the center. Price is OK for San Sebastian.

Great value and location- our room very clean, modern and spacious! Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
