U232 Hotel in Barcelona

Would not recommend.

1. The shower was a bathtub, but they didn't proactively offer a non-slip mat. My boyfriend slipped in the tub and hurt his knee, which bothered him for several days. We asked for a non-slip mat afterward, and the front desk begrudgingly gave us one, but with a very impatient attitude and no concern whatsoever. My boyfriend is a marathon runner, so if something serious had happened, it would have been more than just a bad review. Plus, the bathtub exit is directly facing a square counter, which poses a significant safety hazard.

2. The decor is dated, and they don't even have a capsule coffee machine. The trash can was also particularly difficult to use. It seems like most European bathroom trash cans have lids that open by stepping on a pedal, but at this hotel, when you stepped on it, the entire trash can would tip over. The base must be too light or something; I haven't encountered this issue at any other hotel, so I'm guessing they bought a cheap one. Imagine trying to use a delicate touch to open the lid after doing your business without the whole trash can tipping over – it really interrupted my wiping process.

3. The water was problematic; it felt greasy and didn't rinse off properly. On top of that, the water temperature was inconsistent, fluctuating between hot and cold, and the pressure was erratic – truly bizarre. Even budget hotels in China like Hanting don't have these issues. Who is even recommending this hotel?

I suggest people not trust recommendations from influencers. It feels like anyone recommending this hotel hasn't stayed in many good hotels. When traveling, it's always better to choose large, branded chain hotels for more reliability.

Arrived at the hotel being told that water is out and expected to be restored at 5pm. But it was delayed for several more hours. The water is finally back nearly midnight with no hot water. It was exhausting to not shower and sleep after 20-hour travel.

Also,very low pressure for water in shower and temperature of water jumps around, either burning hot or freezing cold.

The front desk staff were very impatient. The room size was quite large, but the water temperature was incredibly difficult to adjust, and the water pressure was low, making showering inconvenient. The facilities were also very old.
