Somerset Mirissa Hotel in Mirissa

I liked the hotel, it is located some distance from the beach, you need to go up the hill, but it is quiet and calm there. Great view from the window. Friendly staff. I liked everything, thank you!

My wife and I stayed here for one night during our trip around Sri Lanka. The hotel is in a great location in Mirissa and the staff were lovely! At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. The hotel is reasonably priced, however for that, you get a hotel in a good location with nice staff, a clean room and WiFi. It’s nothing overly special but a safe and clean place to spend the night.

The hotel is on the beachfrint with great ocean views from the front rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean and have a balcony. The bathroom was clean. The manager was very helpful with suggestions and making sure that everything was ok. I enjoyed the breakfast. It was a mixture of sri lankan and western. They have a great bar with tasty food on the beach called the Tipsy Turtle. The sunbeds are free for guests. The beach is a small cove so it was perfect for swimming, with no waves. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel, liked everything, cool pool, helpful staff. Only mosquitoes bothered me, it’s better not to open doors and windows in the evening/early morning! And the wifi is bad, but these are minor things))

There are 3 hotels in the Somerset group. This is away from the beach. Its up a very steep narrow concrete road. Its dark in the night and only 1 vehicle can go up or down this dark narrow road. The hotel staff are really nice. The rooms are a bit dated. The breakfast buffet was a joke as compared to hotels we have stayed in colombo. There was no buffet. Just a plate of fruit and eggs if you asked. Better stay is closer to the beach and somerset has a hotel right on tne beach

The team, especially those at the restaurant and front office, were not just professional but genuinely caring and attentive. Their warmth and helpfulness added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel truly valued and cared for. While the food was satisfactory, what stood out was the level of attentiveness with which it was served. Each meal was a pleasant experience, not just for the flavors but also for the service that accompanied it. Our stay was comfortable in every aspect. The hotel's location is conveniently situated, making it easy to explore the surroundings. The amenities provided were more than sufficient, catering to all our needs and ensuring a hassle-free stay. Additionally, considering the quality, the food was well-priced, adding to the overall value of our stay.
