Coral Beach Hotel in Mirissa

Didn’t stay here but very welcoming. We went back twice to eat at their restaurant A++ Breakfast was amazing, views outstanding and staff friendly. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here during our vacation in Sri Lanka, choosing it because of the high Google ratings. The location really impressed us. The hotel is literally a step away from the beach and less than five minutes’ walk to town, which made it very convenient. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach and listening to the waves was easily the best part of the stay.

The lobby was simple but acceptable, and there is a seafood restaurant right next to the hotel.

At check-in, there was a small hiccup. I booked through Trip.com, but they couldn’t find my booking at first. After about ten minutes, they managed to sort it out and confirmed that the booking came via Agoda. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming, even offering us a drink on arrival.

Our room on the second floor had a great view of the sea. The shower had good water pressure, although the bathroom could use better ventilation. The toiletries seemed diluted, so we ended up using our own.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning became a real problem. It leaked so badly that the room flooded twice, soaking my shoes. Despite my request for a pail to manage the water, they initially only gave floor mats, which was very frustrating. By the time they finally sent a pail, it was too late. We barely slept that night because of the constant dripping sound.

Overall, the location and friendliness of the staff were strong points, but the poor handling of the air conditioning issue really spoiled our experience.

+1. The front office staff are very courteous, professional and helpful. That's the biggest strength of this hotel. Ms.Roshi and Ms.Nimasha are truly exceptional staff. Although they work for a small hotel, they have the talent and mindset to work for any large hotel. +2. Superb location, bang on the beach of the Mirissa bay. The beach right in front of the hotel, feels like a private beach. Quiet and amazing. +3. Good restaurant with able and attentive staff. Very good food. You don't expect a small hotel to serve good food, but this hotel serves very very very good food. I was rather surprised. Breakfast few feet away from the beach, overlooking the vast Indian ocean is something you must try. +4. Nicely tucked away, yet, few minutes walk along the beach to all beach restaurants and beach bars. Mirissa is a great place, and this hotel has the perfect location in Mirissa.

What a location it is 👌 We had a memorable stay at Coral Beach, Mirissa. For me it's a heaven. The vibe made me crazy 😜. In Mirissa, this is my place of relaxation 😎.

The service attitude is good, the room facilities are average, and there are cockroaches. It is right by the sea, and there is a delicious Chinese restaurant nearby. The hotel's restaurant and bar are also good, and it is very comfortable to drink beer while enjoying the sea breeze
