Alta Vista in Ella

Exceeded every expectation. Perfect location, easy walk into town & lookouts. Amazing beakfast included with all the extras. Fast and friendly service. Comfy rooms with verandas, open air dining and a new pool. What more could you want. Thank you Nandana and the crew for looking after us so well.

The breakfast included in the booking was very tasty, varied, and served buffet-style, with freshly prepared egg dishes (scrambled eggs, omelets, etc.) (see photos 1 & 2).

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel owner speaks decent English.

The room was lovely with a great view and access to a terrace (see photo 3). However, due to the very central location (which is very advantageous overall) and the thin walls, sleeping was a bit difficult. Furthermore, you should always expect mosquitoes at night, as the room isn't completely airtight (see photo 4). Unfortunately, there's no hairdryer, even though it's listed as an amenity.

Overall, though, a very nice and pleasant hotel.

Very conveniently located in Ella. Close to all the famous attractions and the hotel staff are very hospitable. Highly recommended.

We had an **absolutely wonderful** experience at Alta Vista, thanks to the **exceptional hospitality** of **Nandan and his team**. The **spacious, well-equipped rooms** (with both fans and AC) provided a **comfortable and relaxing retreat**.  

The **breakfast was a highlight** – a **delicious, wide spread** that set the perfect tone for our days. The **prime location** was unbeatable – just a **2-minute walk to the main city center**, with easy access to **trending restaurants and vibrant spots**.  

What truly made our stay special was the **attentive service and warm atmosphere**. **Great food, fantastic service, and genuinely caring staff** – we couldn’t have asked for more!

One thing which can make more effective is WhatsApp service. WhatsApp will speed up things. Service was prompt if you have a Srilanka number over phone call.

Friendly place in Ella
We just stayed for 1 night. We enjoyed it. The room was spacious and we slept very well. The manager was friendly and helpful and we liked the breakfast with a lot of fruits.
100 meters downhill from the hotel was the main street with shops and restaurants. The famous Chill Out Cafe restaurant was very close.
We want to recommend the hotel.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were great. The only drawback is the steep climb to the hotel.it is in the center of town and you can walk to restaurants, shopping and bars. The chef made food packages to take on the train trip- which was lovely.

We stay group 18 person 2 nights. Enjoy our stay We get anything where we ask from the staff in a hotel. Very helpful hotel is on a steep hill. If you have problem to walk, this hotel is not for you. Hotels is in centre Ella, you just Down steep small road A unit centre of the highest street with clubs bus and shops. Good Breakfast.
