Sky Green Resort in Ella

Staff very friendly. Good breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed the food so would recommend half board. Room is spacious but not very clean as sheets were marked and very tired looking.

Stayed here for 2 nights during our round trip around Sri Lanka in January 2024. Unfortunately we got disappointed directly when we arrived. We were quite hungry as we arrived on the evening of the 3rd of January, so we almost directly sat down for dinner. The starter, a soup was good, but we never got the chance to finalise it since they suddenly served us the hot meal that was not hot at all, a cold plate of noodles and on top of that they had no wine to serve for the dinner. The rooms are okay with a really astonishing view, but no hot water and a bed that wasn't too comfortable made the stay far below a 4. Although Ella is a bit colder, you need an A/C which they didn't have. So prepare for a hot and sweaty night. In the second evening, we skipped dinner at the hotel even though it was included. There are too many good hotels at Ella for even thinking about booking this.

The room was comfortable, rather clean, nice view, no fridge in the room. Sometimes there was no hot water. Bathroom with space but without shower cabin (open shower). Breakfast was good contains: fruits, toasts, jam, butter and eggs. Coffee, tea.

Lovely staff, Room is large and clean, super comfortable. But must get a tuk tuk to go uphill and reach this hotel. Nice view from the room balcony. Mountain view.
