I had such a wonderful experience at the hotel buffet during my recent stay. From the moment I walked in, everything felt welcoming and well-organized. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal.
The buffet selection was impressive, with a wide variety of fresh and beautifully presented dishes. There was something for everyone—crisp salads, flavorful main courses, perfectly cooked meats, and an array of delicious desserts. Every item I tried was fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly prepared with care. It was easy to go back for seconds!
What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire meal; especially Mahesh. Every team member greeted guests with a genuine smile. Their positive attitude and dedication to service made the dining experience feel special.
Overall, the combination of excellent food, inviting ambiance, and outstanding staff made this buffet a highlight of my stay. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, and I look forward to returning again soon.

A clean, quiet and comfortable hotel conveniently located 100m from the main street with all the bars and restaurants. A good sized pool with food and drink service. Working aircon and hot water.

A great mid priced hotel located just off the main ***** in Ella (which is great). Staff are super friendly and helpful and the attached bar and restaurant is both well stocked and cheap. What is not to like

The hotel overall is ok, the room was nice and big (the bathroom had a big leak in the ceiling which they claimed not to know about but was obvious it’s been going on a while) they did offer to move us but we just put towels down, the breakfast is pretty shocking really. The noise from outside while not their fault is so bad we left early.

This is perfect for your Ella stay as it is close to the famous Ella lane. Check in was very smooth and management team was very sweet. On check in our room was comrising of three single bed which was later changed to suite. Room size were great with two king beds. Ella is a vibe and this hotel is perfect to enjoy Ella. Breakfast was good however can be imporved upon with more choices.
Management gave as local grown Black Tea as souvenir which was a great gesture.

The hotel staff were very courteous, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. However, we had opted for a family room, and it was allocated on the 4th floor with no lift, which made the stay quite uncomfortable. The staff kindly offered us a room change on the last day, but moving from the 4th to the 3rd floor wouldn’t have made much difference, so we chose to continue in the same room.
The dinner and breakfast options were average, and on one of the nights, the set dinner was served cold, which was disappointing.
Overall, while the service and room cleanliness were good, the lack of lift access and food quality issues definitely affected the experience.

Last week we visited Ella and were looking for a good hotel close to Ella Town. Oak Ray Ella Gap Hotel was one of the closest options, so we decided to stay there. We booked a family room, and it was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. However, the only downside was that the room didn’t have a good view, which was a bit disappointing, especially for a place like Ella.
The buffet variety was okay—not great, but acceptable. The food itself was fine. What really stood out was the customer service; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made our stay pleasant.
Overall, it’s a convenient choice if you want to stay close to town, with great service and spacious rooms, but don’t expect a scenic view from all rooms.

Bentota travel Mart took us for lunch at this friendly place. What a day Nalaka looked after us like royalty and a cake arrived for my wife’s 60th - we loved it - authentic Sri Lankan food and kindness in oodles

You should totally stay here in Ella! We had an amazing time with our group of 13, and the staff really took care of everyone. Most rooms have awesome mountain views, and it's super close to the city center, just a short walk. Plus, the free breakfast was delicious!

What truly set them apart was their honesty and helpfulness. One of our friends accidentally left their wallet behind; the staff found it, called us immediately, and even couriered it to our next stop. Such amazing, polite, and friendly people.

I truly loved the view from our hotel room: verdant mountains, birdsong, and the soothing sound of a nearby stream — it really felt like being in the heart of nature. The receptionist and two staff members kindly carried all six of our suitcases up several flights of stairs to our rooms. Overall, everything was excellent.
