Spent 7 nights at Amal Beach Hotel from 7th January 2026. We were with 2 other couples. We had first floor balcony rooms that were really good and kept spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant served delicious food. Prices good compared with European. Beach was fabulous, free sunbeds and excellent bar & food service. Ventured across the road to the Amal Villas to use the pool. A real oasis of calm. Would go back to Amal's in a heartbeat!

Very kind workers and lovely atmosphere with beautiful landscapes. The Food is very good and the rooms are perfect. Me and my gilfriend had a great time.

This was my second stay at the Amal Beach Hotel and I am glad that the premises and the service are still at a very high level. The room is big and very clean. The food at the restaurant is one of the best in Sri Lanka. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The sea food is excellent. The WiFi is also very good. You will have the beach almost to yourself. Everybody is polite and ready to help. So I will definitely come back.

Arguably one of the best seafood restaurant in the area. Exceptional service and attention to detail. Maduwantha served us in a warm and hospitable manner understanding and providing us food the way we wanted. Thank you for the memorable experience

We stopped off en route for lunch on our way to Galle . Friendly service , clean facilities and average choice of food. However £38 for two club sandwiches , a starter prawn cocktail and 3 juices was ridiculous and more than we spent in Colombo at the Ceylon curry club and that was with alcohol!!

I'm in the Amal Beach Hotel with my family. Amazing food delicious beverage with friendly customer service. Great salads and desserts. Placed near a beautiful beach. So I recommend you to stop here with your family.

Great hotel when visiting Bentota, perfect beach location. The staff are amazing especially Chanuka (Vidu) who was very attentive, easy to communicate with as his English was very good. One of the highlights was our last night in the hotel when Nadeera had an idea to create a sand table and seating area on the beach for me and my husband where we enjoyed a wonderful seafood platter. Certainly a night to remember. Thank you Nadeera. Hope to return soon. Linda & Glen

Full service around the clock, every 5 meters is a friendly staff to give you what you need! Very clean, perfect food and what ever you wish is here. Only a few meters to the kilometers long beach, and also there is full service... If you need something special the chef in person organizes for us, tuktuk, taxi, shoping, sightseeing, special fish for dinner, massage, we had it all!

Stayed 2 weeks and we loved it !!!! Attention to design and detail outstanding , spotlessly clean , all staff friendly and well trained . The garden restaurant where we had breakfast just beautiful. AND if like us you came to bentota because of the beach , it has the best beach front in the whole area. The bigger more expensive hotels just don't compare . Relaxing beach bar , great selection of food , comfortable beds , lots of umbrellas , beach immaculate.
