The Postcard Galle in Galle

We had the loveliest stay at Postcard Galle! Upon arrival, the staff makes you feel so welcome and the hotel itself is beautiful, a beautiful building nestled in a bay with a gorgeous view of the sunset. It is the perfect distance from the Fort area while maintaining its own bubble of tranquility. Throughout our stay, the staff was so attentive and a special thanks goes to Sandaruwan who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and also shared so many things about Sri Lanka that we hadn’t noticed during our trip around. All in all, I would highly recommend booking this hotel!

Lovely stay at the Postcard Galle. The property is quaint, quiet and peaceful. Lovely rooms. The thing, however, that sets it apart from other hotels is the service from the wonderful staff. Just the right amount of attentiveness, not overbearing and always helpful. A special thank you to Shivani the manager at the Postcard Galle. She went out of her way to help us and even arranged to send something we had forgotten in the room to Colombo the next day. Fantastic service and well done to Shivani and her team.

I hosted my family here for a retreat and we booked all 10 rooms made this into a personal villa for us. Chef Amit was flown for us - he is a master craftsman. Amazing food and flavours. Without him the great food part was not possible. The manager Shivani - she was available 24 x 7 for anything. That is something no other person can match. At 4 AM she was there to see us off for our whale watching tour and serve light break fast. The hotel - rooms are old colonial style. Comfortable but needs maintenance. If you want modern look this is not for you - if you want old charm look its a great place. The rooms are huge, beds comfortable, with mosquito nets. There are no TV's or phones in the room. That is what makes it a place for just conversations. Staff is attentive. They are always around. There is one person in the kitchen who is always smiling i cant remember his name. The food experience goes up with such small things. It has been truly a wonderful experience. Thanks postcard for making this celebration special.

We just returned from a magical weekend at The Postcard Galle Hotel and are already planning our next trip.The hotel itself is an absolute jewel—a beautifully restored historic building with an elegant, yet cozy, charm.

Top notch service, incredible food, good location for exploring Galle fort, Unawatuna, etc. The staff over delivered and attended to all our bespoke requirements given that we have 2 young kids. Can’t wait to visit again, this time with the extended family.

Postcard Galle is situated in a pristine, natural surroundings overlooking Indian ocean which can be seen from all the 10 expansive rooms . The food served here is delicious and has lots of varieties. The landscape is eye catching and swimming pool is clean,soothing and relaxing! The staff here is polite and friendly,especially manager Bharat,and staff Ashard,Randi,Sanderwal,Vikum and Nirmal! Even at odd hours , they are at our service with smiles. The postcard Galle reminds us of palatial housing, full of peace and recharging our flayes nerves!

This place is a Sri Lankan gem! Thank you very much to Bharatvir and his entire team for making us feel very welcome and special. Everyone was friendly, professional, and welcoming. Everything was outstanding...the peace and quiet, beautiful room (thank you for the upgrade!), location, cocktails (so good!), pool, service, and food. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable and the bed linens were top notch. The decor throughout the hotel is very thoughtful with many beautiful antiques and pieces of artwork. The overall vibe is perfect! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
