We visited Citrus Hotel Hikkaduwa for a day outing with my family, and overall we had a pleasant experience. The hotel is quite old, and some areas definitely need renovation. The rooms could be upgraded, and the swimming pool requires attention as many tiles are damaged and need fixing. The food was okay. That said, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional, which truly made our visit enjoyable. The swimming pool attendants did their job very well, and the Front Office Manager was excellent and handled everything professionally. A special mention goes to Dammi, the hotel animator. He is a truly wonderful person with great experience in the hotel industry. He explained everything clearly, especially about the sea conditions, which was very helpful for us. His grooming, style, and positive attitude really stood out. Dammi made our morning special with beautiful music and also organized a lovely independent celebration by inviting all hotel guests to the lobby. He is an outstanding animator and does an excellent job. My wife and children were very happy with our visit, and we enjoyed our time at Citrus. We hope that when we visit again, the hotel facilities will be improved. We look forward to coming back. Wishing all the staff the very best, and see you again.

Hi l'm Anna from Russia. It's a very beautiful hotel. Dammi's aqua aerobics classes are especially fantastic. I did it first time - it's very interesting and fun activity. Dammi is always smiling and very friendly with all guests. I am very pleased with the hotel. Food is good. The staff are very responsive and friendly. They are always ready to help. I think I'll come back to this hotel next time because of great service and super aqua aerobics classes with Dammi.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Wonderful Stay at Citrus Hotel Hikkaduwa! We stayed at Citrus Hotel Hikkaduwa on the 10th and 11th of November and had a truly pleasant experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a lovely welcome from Malsha at the front office — she made us feel right at home. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, and we were very happy with the value for money of our room. Mr. Kuree from security was also extremely kind and helpful, always smiling and sharing great information about the local area. The food could be improved a bit — we would love to see more variety in the breakfast and dinner buffet — but the service made up for it. Mr. Sahan, our waiter, provided excellent and friendly service throughout our stay. We also met Mr. Dammi, the animator, who was very friendly and made our time even more enjoyable. Overall, we felt like we were staying at home rather than in a hotel, thanks to the warmth of the entire team. Thank you so much to everyone at Citrus Hikkaduwa for making our stay so memorable. Keep up the great work — we hope to visit again soon!

The hotel is close to the beach; the beach is right outside the room. Hotels here don't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers; you have to buy those yourself.

Overall, it's fine. Breakfasts are decent. The location is also good. Keep in mind that even though the hotel is on the beachfront, you're unlikely to be able to swim on its beach. Overall, it's a typical package-tourist hotel, a bit tired. We were just passing through, so we didn't have much choice. Incidentally, it was the only hotel on Sri Lanka that checked us in on time; all the others (of which there were nine) checked us in upon arrival, which was almost always earlier than the check-in time listed on the website.

The hotel balcony has a view of the sea, and the facilities are very complete. There is a beach, a good restaurant, and lizards can be seen. The staff are also very friendly. The only drawback is that the room facilities are relatively old. The hotel is a few minutes walk along the coast to see turtles.

In July 2024, I spent several days in this hotel. In general, I liked everything, except for some moments.
I'll start with the good: excellent location, opposite a supermarket, and nearby there are many shops and benches, a gorgeous view from the window of the ocean, decent breakfasts, a clean pool, the staff's willingness to help at any time, delicious dishes to order from the menu, well-groomed territory.
What I didn’t like: the rooms are already tired, they need updating, I lived in room 513. The pool is open until 19.00, which is not at all convenient, because after dinner you also want activity... but there is none)

+ We booked the room via Ostrovok service, and the selected room in real was another. Standard room on the foto in real is deluxe room. So when we came , we were surprised! The actual room is small, has no balcony and the restroom is very small. We had too extra pay to get the room on the foto.
