Located v close to centre of town. Near grand hotel
Old colonial town house. Used to belong to the Governor. Full of character. Including a temporary loss of water, rapidly sorted by the charming host. Loved it

We spent one night here and had a pleasant time. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and even speaks good English. Fair value for money.

Perfect Stay at the Beautiful Old Colonial Cottage!
We had the pleasure of staying at the Old Colonial Cottage in Nuwara Eliya for one night during our honeymoon trip, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The cottage itself is stunning—beautifully preserved with charming colonial character, yet clean, cozy and very well furnished. It felt just like home the moment we arrived!
The location is ideal, peaceful, yet centrally located and close to everything you need in town. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, nothing was ever too much for them.
One of the highlights was the fantastic breakfast they provided, fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start the day.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience!

Noce and cozy hotel, very domestic, seems like you are in your own house. The team is very friendly and welcoming. The location is central, near the central market and Victoria Park. Breakfast was amazing, we ate it in Grand Cocoon Hotel, a chef breakfast in an amazing garden. We also ate there a tasty dinner and cooked with chef Amiz. Well recommended

Wow! This 100 year old Colonial Cottage was a very fitting place to stay in Nuwara Eliya! It was clean, comfortable, well furnished, homely and centrally located to everything. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much. A fantastic breakfast is provided at their sister hotel, The Royal Cocoon, including Eggs Benedict and Pancakes. Dinner and lunch are available also. On our first night we had the sizzling platter, it was delicious! The second night, Chef Amiz, Tuan Arfin and their team, prepared a Bonfire and BBQ evening! Beautifully set tables were arranged outside under the stars and amongst the well kept grounds. It was so much fun! This is a must for your stay in Nuwara Eliya!

very cosy and quiet colonial villa in a remote location, probably was a residence of a British lord or something in the old days, friendly staff but shabby and old rooms and toilets.

Hotel staff did not contact us when we were late in reaching hotel. No dinner served. Forced to look around for restaurants at 9.00pm in the night on a lonely Road. Single bathroom between 2 rooms. Narrow bed

Just booked in, all good so far. Small room, heater is working, bed ok, clean and comfortable. I'm the only guest for the night. Has wifi internet. Having dinner and breakfast here, will see how that goes.
Edit: they buy in food as required, so you need to let them know what you want early.
Meals are ok, staff hover over you while you eat ?.
I will stay here again, as it's clean, quiet and we'll located.

this is very much a b&b you would go to in britain. it's a very comfortable and homely stay. the staff are friendly and helpful. there's a sitting room downstairs, upstairs and also a place to sit outside. the shower worked well with good hot water and pressure. you just need to let them know when you're about to have a shower so they increase the pressure. there were a few small things like our toiletries bottles being empty but as soon as we mentioned it they fixed it. the power did go out quite a few times in the morning but never long enough to be annoying. wifi generally worked well too. it's a short and easy walk to the town centre. we paid 750rs one way for a tuk-tuk to and from the train station.
