The best place to stay! The rooms were superb, the food was delicious, and the service was very friendly. Most importantly, the view was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much to the hotel staff for the wonderful hospitality and great treatment. I would definitely love to visit again, and I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Had an amazing stay at the Windcastle Nuwaraeliya. The atmosphere and the views ate breathtaking. The staff are very warm and friendly. Truly a step back in time with all the modern requirements.

Not sure what's going on with the 5/5 reviews - our experience was vastly different. I've given feedback to management directly, so won't labour the point here.

Positives:
- The staff were lovely (as everywhere in Sri Lanka)
- Breakfast was generous, reasonably priced and good
- Great view
- Hot shower
Negatives
- This is a 2-2.5 star property at best - looks good from afar but needs serious renovation
- Rough finishings, tired furnishings, musty smell throughout, very sparse (our large family room was mostly empty floor space)
- Felt like an abandoned castle in the middle of nowhere - zero atmosphere

We had initially booked 2 nights but left after the first and moved into another hotel.

We had a wonderful time with our friends at The Wind Castle. I was truly impressed by the building itself. We were accommodated in one of the huge family rooms with an amazing view. We also had the chance to enjoy dinner at their restaurant, which was perfect, followed by an excellent breakfast. Every meal came in generous portions, so you definitely won’t stay hungry 😊😊 I highly recommend staying here to enjoy the unique vibe, breathtaking tea plantation views, and the lush greenery all around.
