We had the most amazing stay at rock gate. The host UG and his family were the most accomodating family we met in Sri Lanka. They did everything they possibly could to make our stay incredible.
The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. You get exactly what you pay for.
Although it is situated a few mins out of town. When requested there was a tuk tuk ready to take us within 5-10 minutes .
We were served authentic and tasty Sri Lankan for breakfast.
They also have the cutest dogs in the whole country
I highly recommend this place for you stay.

Very friendly people and such a beautiful place in the jungle . They also cooked for us really nice local breakfast and took care of us !

The experience was great. This place is peaceful with beautiful surroundings. The breakfast area looks out on the Lions' Rock. The room was clean and the owner was very helpful. He helped us out with tuktuks, early pickup for the sunrise etc. Across the road you can climb the boulders and watch the sunset. Walking to the city takes about 20min but you're accompanied by lots of birds and beautiful nature. We can only recommend this place.

We stayed in their Treehouse and absolutely loved it – such a unique place. The owner and his family were very warm and welcoming. For breakfast, we had homemade chapati, and they even packed a lunch for our onward journey. They were very flexible with our timing, arranged a private car and driver for our transfer, and went above and beyond by mailing my forgotten headphones to me afterward. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Convenient location, 15 minutes to the main attractions of Sigiriya. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, delicious breakfast with a view of the rock. The price is great, we recommend. Thank you!)

Great place to stay in Sirigiya. Walkable to lion rock and pidurangala. We stayed in the treehouse which has a great view of both from the balcony. Room was very comfortable and especially a very comfy bed! Host was very friendly and helped us with all arrangements- including a scooter hire to drive to Polonnaruwa, which was one of our highlights.

First stay in our trip to Sri Lanka and it was amazing. The family were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast they provided was delicious and had a great view of Lion Rock. I would recommend to anyone wanting to experience Sri Lanka with locals to go here.

Not far away from the lion rock. Nice owner but expensive price for some noodles. View to the lion rock at breakfast. Rooms were clean but old and smells wet like the AC too.

Located in a more rural part of the area - it’s beautiful with surrounding nature and farm land. The hosts are extremely sweet and lovely with two lovely dogs and I felt safe being there travelling alone. This is not located near the restaurants, shops or main places to visit, so you cannot walk anywhere or easily pick up transport. Probably more an issue with me needing to be better asking in honesty, but I moved to Sirigiya village the last night of my stay because I wanted to be able to get breakfast and dinner, plus be around more people. Sirigiya village was great for restaurants/cafes and other amenities, whilst still being quiet and surrounded by nature.
