Kandy Hills in Kandy

We arrived in the early evening after a long journey and were welcomed with cold flannels and a refreshing drink, which was much appreciated. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was spacious with a great bathroom. We dined in the restaurant that evening. The menu was small, which we actually prefer, and the food was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. Breakfast the next morning was fabulous. We booked a tuk-tuk through reception for a city tour, and our driver, Mickel, showed us around Kandy. He was a great chap and we’d definitely recommend him — he charged only 3,000 rupees for three hours. We stayed just one night but wished we’d stayed longer. A great city and a wonderful experience.

Great 1 night stay, room with clean luxury bedding, bathroom great although bathroom blind needed cleaning. Lovely buffet breakfast. Lots of good restaurants locally or you can walk into Kandy centre along the lake in 25 minutes

This hotel is adequate. Nice location away from the business of Kandy. Staff were really helpful. The hotel/rooms are clean, although look rather tired and very basic for the size of the rooms. Not quite sure it is value for money but the stay was pleasant enough.

This was a great hotel, worked really well for us, we arrived quite late, 6pm. The hotel had us checked in and having drinks on the balcony in no time, overlooking the city before we headed out. Very large rooms with good views and a really easy ‘Pickme’ tuck tuck ride away from the centre. Good breakfast in the morning before we were off to our next stop.

This hotel was booked for us as part of a driver tour of Sri Lanka and we it was definitely better than we expected. The room was great new looking and clean. The staff really friendly. Great views from the balcony. Breakfast was great the first day cooked to order the second a buffet with choice of eggs, omelette etc. We even had a bath.

Very Good Hotel at a competitive price. Room are big and clean. The restaurant serves great food for breakfast and dinner. The staff really make this place wonderful. A little of of the town is an advantage as it is such a lovely walk around the lank into town and a short Tug Tuk drive back if you are feeling lazy.

This was our 5th visit to kandy hills,a lovely hotel in a gorgeous setting ,staff are superb helpful and friendly.We had a junior suite which is ultra modern,spacious with a lovely balcony which afford views right across the valley.Breakfast was included ,this was excellent a great number of choices.We will certainly return ,see you next year

What a wonderful hotel. Arrived in the dark so didn't appreciate its stunning location until the morning. Look out for the monkey's nearby. The bedroom was the best we stayed in during our trip in Sri Lanka, and wished we could have stayed longer.

Excellent hotel but distracting phone calls
The hotel was really good, and both the room and location were excellent. However, despite the fact that breakfast was available until 10 AM, we received a phone call in our room at 9 AM reminding us to come eat. Additionally, with checkout at 11 AM, we got another call at 10:40 AM asking if we were coming to check out, which felt again a bit rushed. On the positive side, the breakfast was great, but the room service food was not very good.
