The room was very clean, hot shower with good water pressure.
The owner is a very kind and intresting woman, we really appreciated chatting with her, she was also very interested in our culture.
It is located near a few good restaurant and you can access the lake down the road, only 15 minuts walk to the center (and it is a nice walk).
I am glad we stayed there because we had the best experience of all Sri Lanka meeting this woman and all her cats.
I wish her all the best and If we ever come back to kandy, we will surely be back at the expeditor without a question !!

An unbelievably fantastic stay in Kandy, located just around the corner from Kandy lake with plenty of restaurants around.
The lady owner of the hotel, aka Momma Sri Lanka is one of the warmest, kindest and most beautiful person I have had the pleasure to meet in my entire life.
This lady is a fantastic host, and has had quite the life. I would not only encourage you to stay for atleast two night to soak up what the area and place has to offer, but I would also suggest you have a thoroughly good conversation with Momma Sri Lanka; what an absolutely beautiful woman.
A must try, and considering the market rate, it certainly is a budget friendly option with great rooms and fantastic service ❤️

Lovely guesthouse in Kandy. We stayed 3 nights and Kanthi & the other staff made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was incredible, the room was clean and comfortable, and the view was beautiful. Ask Kanthi if you need any help with transport, tours, tickets for ths dance & drumming show & she will gladly help you! 😊

We LOVED our stay! Our hosts were so accomadating and the most lovely people. Our party stayed 2 nights and were very comfortable. Thusata organised two tuktuks for us, himself and Palitha - the most amazing tour guide from Happy Tours. Small suggestion: we'd love to see a water filter station for guests to refill their water bottles. The location is good, out of the middle of the city and has a great view. The hill was a little challenging to get up in a tuktuk, so be mindful of this, and if you're planning on walking, it's a bit of a hike!

Such a lovely guesthouse at a great location in Kandy. We stayed here initially because of the trekking office downstairs, but the guesthouse itself is very very nice. The lady running it is very friendly, as well as her family helping her (giving us tea, helping with our wet clothes, taking care of our luggage). The breakfast was very good and the room was very clean and comfy. We could leave our stuff here during our trek, which was practical. Definitely recommend staying here!

It’s been lovely staying here. We’ll located, nice view and the owner has been really welcoming. We had some tea on arrival and had nice chats. That’s what travelling is all about. If you like sterile, impersonal hotels go elsewhere. If you want a bit of Sri Lanka that’s comfortable and affordable this is it!

This location is really awesome and the hospitality of the hosts is lovely. Rooms are clean and cozy with a stunning view on the city and lake from the balcony. Totally recommandable!

Fantastic location. I love the stay. It was so good to walk up for the beautiful Sunrise and the stunning views of Kandy City and the surroundings. The staff offered a wonderful breakfast, room accommodation and breakfast was so valuable for the money I paid. I had the opportunity to do one of the best tours . Mr Sumane at Expeditor trekking team has vast knowledge and experience ,guide was fantastic. I can't wait to visit again.

The fruit plate picture pretty much sums up our stay at Expeditor - sounded great online but fell short of expectations.
This was the most expensive breakfast we’ve had during our 2 month visit in Sri Lanka. 1800 rupees for 2 guests, for tea, eggs & toast + 1 slice of papaya and a banana each (the ‘fruit salad’). Also, we had agreed to a room with a view on WhatsApp beforehand, but on arrival we were told those rooms were unavailable. Not a huge deal, but bugs flew in through unscreened openings in the bathroom. Lastly, the remote control to the AC unit was nowhere to be seen, so the fan did the job.
On the positive side, location is great, walking distance to the lake, and we had access to the nice lake view from their balcony. Sri Lanka Trekking has an office on the bottom floor, and they organized an excellent trekking tour in the Knuckles range - Ranja our guide was the best!!
Tip : locally owned Buono Cafe 1km away has amazing food and drinks!
