Excellent location, just a short walk to the city, Sri Dalada Maligawa, and most of the key attractions. The biggest highlight is undoubtedly the breathtaking view from the hotel room balconies, the upper-floor restaurant, and the rooftop swimming pool. From these vantage points, you get a stunning bird’s-eye view of the city, the temple, and the lake. Service was commendable. The staff were very accommodating, taking time to ensure everything was in order, which made the stay feel personal and attentive. We opted for full board – while the meal spread was somewhat limited, the food was tasty and satisfying. We booked two rooms, both of which were spacious, with the triple room being especially generous in size. A few minor points to note: Music from the restaurant opposite (part of the same group) can be heard until late at night. However, since the playlist matched our taste, it didn’t bother us. Rooms were clean and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. Parking is somewhat limited, particularly for larger SUVs, though still manageable. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, with the views and service making it truly memorable.

Oak Ray Kandy offers a truly delightful experience. The food is absolutely delicious, with some of the best flavors you can find, and the quality is consistently excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and well-maintained, making the stay relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great place for both amazing food and a comfy stay. Highly recommended!

Modern hotel with great views. Kandy lookout view point is 50 meters so room balcony view is the same. Aircon good ( which has been hit and miss on our tour)Great hospitality from attentive staff. Breakfast very good. Only downside was no dedicated bar as such. Stayed 3 nights for England v Sri Lanka cricket. Good restand bar over the road with live music and same views.

Oak Ray Heritage Hotel – Kandy We had a great stay at Oak Ray Heritage Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was very kind and helpful, and the food was excellent with a great variety. Everything was perfect, and we were very satisfied. Highly for anyone visiting Kandy! Recommended Danushka F.O.M

Nice clean hotel. The rooms are spatious the food is good and the hotel has a pool and good laundry service. The hotel also has a nice view.

On our vacation in Sri Lanka we have experienced warm welkomst when we have arrived hotels. So not here.. We waited for a long time before we got a room. The room had a balcony. It was difficult to be there because of traffic noise. I therefore went to the swimming pool area in hope of a more peaceful place. The music upstairs was extremly loud. Our Christmas Eve dinner was destroyed by the same loud music. The food tasted well and the hotel was clean, but there was a bad smell of chemicals.

What a dump, the staff were unfriendly, the room stank of drains and had damp on the walls. No water or tea provided in room, walls built out of paper so you could hear every tiny noise in the corridor. Mould in the shower cubicle. Lovely view from rooftop bar and restaurant, but that’s only redeeming feature. Buffet breakfast was limited and I saw the same bread basket with the same bread 3 days running. At least they had an egg station so you could get a decent omelette. To top it all the pool had no water in it. Whole place was soulless. We went to eat at the Grand Serendib hotels roof top bar, excellent service and drinks, might be a bit further out of Kandy, but tuktuk are cheap.

Hilltop location with stunning views over Kandy, lake and golden roof of Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Rooftop pool was beautiful ( even though it was raining it was warm rain and water!)

Rooms were amazing with breathtaking views of the Kandy lake , Food was good too , the stuff was very friendly , It was one of the best stays I had in Kandy , would recommend the place to anyone who wants to relax … Definitely a place to chill with a good vibe
