Amazon Beach Cabana Mini-hotel in Trincomalee

Sorry to say my family had the worst experience of 2 nights in this hotel. The front office manager Joel lied to us when booking. He promised buffet meals but not a single meal was a buffet. Hopeless set menu especially the dinner. Room lock was broken and AC was several times automatically stopped. Gym is not functioning though he said it is there. Poor service altogether

I had booked a room with breakfast and dinner plan. After I checked in, I saw the room was not cleaned beneath the cost, balcony was shabby, shower was rusted, faucet was rusted. I requested for more water bottles as they had provided only two half litre bottles. Any human being can survive without food for days but not without sufficient water and in general one person needs atleast 3.5 to 4 litres per day. I told him the same, but he said it is management policy. Secondly, it was spectacular focally mentioned to provide veg meals for dinner and they did not. After arguing for another half an hour, finally he agreed to provide veg kothu and fried rice. As a compliment, he asked me to ask for some drinks. I said I don't drink, if he was really interested he may tell the staff to give Coca-Cola. Ge agreed and told the staff. Astonishingly, when we checked out today, he demanded 500 LKR from our driver friend for the Coca-Cola. I strongly do not recommend this s lodge to anybody. Their behaviour was worst. Not ready to listen. The staff doesn't know English. I don't know how they are doing business. I saw the reviews. Earlier they had 4 + rating and in the last 2-3 years it is declined ned to 2.5, which itself indicate the decline of the quality . I would have recommended minus points (stars) to this place, but there is no provision.

Whilst I was out of the room a glass panel fell off the sink and smashed - they asked me to pay $100, even though they agree that I was out walking - I reluctantly settled on $50 as had a flight to catch. Pool and beach very nice but breakfast buffet awful (Lumini in the restaurant was such a nice person) Looking back I’m pretty sure I was scammed.

Bad service experience and very dirty environment bad smile with room bad bed sheet and bed arrangements ,very cheap breakfast buffet and Welcome drinks served in uncleaned glasses Very dirty bathroom and A room with a very bad smelling bathroom, which has no ventilation windows and is arranged so that the air cannot escape.

A big NO to this hotel whoever planning to go. This is not a fake review. We experienced multiple problems during the stay here Bad hotel with bad service and food. not maintained well. Owner is not even available at hotel. We lost money when we stayed here. The door lock is just for show and it doesn't work. We had kept bags with money in wardrobe and somebody has stolen it. When we reported this, they told that they checked CCTV recording and no one has entered our room. They did not share those recordings Only incapable staff managing the entire show. AC , WiFi doesn't work . All taps in toilets are damaged. they don't do proper laundry for bedsheets, towels and blankets. Very bad experience. The buffet breakfast had got over at 8:30 am and they couldn't manage to provide us even after waiting for 30 mins. I suggest don't go to this hotel even if they give for less price

A very embarrassing place. On the first day, we did not even get the food we ordered on time. My children were hungry for a long time. There are irresponsible employees who lie. The elevator is not working. There is a water leak in the bathroom and the shower does not work. Even the pool is not clean. They destroyed our vacation.
