Spent a day out at Seaclouds Unawatuna and it was a pretty chill experience. The pool was nice clean and perfect for a relaxing swim. The food was also alright, nothing mind-blowing but definitely decent for a day spot

I had the best experience at this hotel, it’s absolutely remarkable from the people working there to the views and pool, I would 100% recommend this hotel it’s clean, friendly and should be listed as 5 star

Of all of the hotels we stayed in this was by far our favourite, the staff were lovely and even gave us a traditional welcome ceremony and drink on arrival and we got to see monkeys from the balcony of the room

We booked one night at this hotel and extended our stay to 3 days (would have liked to stay longer but unfortunately time is limited)

The train is very close and honks when passing - but this is Sri Lankan life and that’s what we are here for! The staff is very friendly, too, and the small pool ideal for a cool dip! You can reach the famous turtle beach in 5 minutes walking passing a small shop with lovely ladies (for water, mangos and king coco)

The beach is protected from the waves because of a reef about 50m out from the shore. This means that the sea is like a lagoon and wild turtles come in every day to feed

Beautiful resort from reception to the rooms. The architecture is absolutely amazing — thoughtfully designed, elegant, and truly impressive. The location is perfect, with an easy walk to both the beach and the town

We had an amazing stay at Cinnamon Bentota Beach. The hotel has a perfect mix of elegant design and tropical charm, with a spacious, beautifully decorated room that had a sea view and a private balcony

The food was amazing but the spread was average. Evening the beach looked amazing and don't miss the sunset if you are out there. Pool is quite long but not that deep. Overoll the staff is very helpful and get you want

Such a fantastic hotel located bang on the beach…this is the third time I’ve been to this hotel over the years and whenever I travel to Sri Lanka I HAVE to stay here as it’s so calm and relaxing to be right in the beachfront…next time I’m in Sri Lanka again I will definitely come back !

A beautiful yet quiet hotel with lots of greenery. Perfect for relaxing and close to the airport. There are restaurants nearby. Very spacious, beautiful rooms.

Great bed/mattress, breakfast was 1 day a la carte, and 1 day buffet. Breakfast was ok, but 20 dollars is overpriced for Sri Lanka standards. The airconditioning has 2 settings; OFF or freezing cold

The blankets are warm so it wasn't a big issue. Offering coffee, and no action, and the billing system is a mess for example

The location is good, very nice swimming pool, garden and beautiful beach. The staff is very tired and most of the time forgets what they are asked. Everything is very slow, you have to have a lot of patience

I really loved the location of the hotel, it was very convenient for getting to Galle, nearby restaurants, and the beach. We walked most of the time, which was perfect

Nice balcony overlooking the private beach, rooftop pool, nice setting for relaxing

It is a very good place with amazing views and beach access. There is a private beach with sea facing rooms. The restaurant is also by the sea. There is a supermarket right opposite

Pool is on the rooftop and has a great view. the Beach is a long stretch and plenty of restaurants along the beach

You can walk along the beach to other restaurants where you can try their food. Else, there are good places within 10 mins walk. It's a lovely place to be in Unawatana

The water over there isn't calm but u will enjoy the beach experience this hotel provides. The food was also good and did catered to vegetarian as well. The options provided for one day was good and can be improved upon

The hotel's location within Galle Fort is ideal,. with great sea views and plenty of great restaurants lining the charming cobbled streets nearby. It was the perfect base for exploring the area and we had a great stay

Everything I wanted. Perfect location. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Very pleasant staff. Equally pleasant breakfast. And one can park one’s car directly outside. Ideal on every count.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. Helped us get a taxi to the airport and allowed for a late checkout, since no one was staying in our room after us

The rooftop terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset, breeze and watch the people walking on the fort paths

The shower had hot water, but the water pressure was not strong. My room was on the top floor of the tower, but other rooms may be better. I didn't think it was worth the price

The only disappointing thing is that there is no restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast was served on the first floor. The air conditioning also didn't work very well

The food was the most tasty, then any other place around and also more affordable. Pool is clean and very nicely surrounded by the trees. You don’t need tuktuk to go to the beach it’s only 5 minutes walk

Late review! A nice place in Trinco. The premises were in a good location and the sea is a minute away. Aunty and Uncle were super friendly and helpful. We ordered Sri Lankan breakfast as well as English breakfast

A wonderful place to stay, lovely room, great a/c, fan and shower, short stroll to the beach, nearby restaurants. Breakfast is excellent, perfectly served, nothing too much trouble

There's construction going on nearby so afternoon nap can be interrupted. The beach near the hotel is wonderful, you can see fishermen working and the few restaurants serve dinner

I like his sharing of his stories and chatting causally about his life. My room is at the top floor, no lift, and air-con. It has a viewing platform to a partial seaview

Hotel owners were a lovely couple. Feeding the stray dogs and they own a cat and a cute puppy at the hotel. Jacob the co-owner is a very experienced hotelier

The place is in a great position and you can swim with turtles every evening off the beach.  The hotel is a bit tired/ run down on outside and buffet food is a bit average

The location is one of the hotel’s highlights, situated beautifully along Hikkaduwa Beach with plenty of beach chairs and sunbeds available for guests

On the way from Mangrove to Hikkaduwa, we encountered another downpour [facepalm]. Oh well, no chance to see the sea turtles again [sweat]. We just headed straight to the hotel and hunkered down

I'm not sure if it was because we were close to the sea or due to the heavy rain, but the hotel room was incredibly damp. Even with a dehumidifier running, it didn't make much of a difference

This place was right ON the beach. They have two balcony rooms that are great. Host is awesome and really accommodating! I also met several other travelers that were great.

This place is by far the best. Absolutely brillaint. You open the back door to a beautiful beach. In the night the owner will help you set up a fire. Play some music and soack in the fresh air.

In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows

Some of the staff here are great. But quite a few of the staff here seem to lack basic service training. The pool area is ok but there’s a lot of trash around and staff just walk past it

The hotel is in a great location on the beachfront, currently only about quarter of rooms available due to the others being upgraded, this has not been an issue with noise

When I booked it, I was worried that the hotel would be too old. The interior and facilities of the room were very new. The rooms were scattered, so it was very quiet overall. The super long swimming pool was also great

Great location, right on the beach. The staff were very friendly and also allowed me to check in early. I wasn’t feeling too well and the manager Mohan got me some medicine and hot water which was really nice

Great restaurant with superb ocean view! The seafood platter was amazing! The only downside was the toilet not been cleaned well and having to park in a private land opposite the main road which made access to the vehicle a bit of a hassle

The facilities were rather old and didn't feel very clean. It's conveniently located right on the beach, but the weather was bad, so we couldn't experience it. Also, they used old-fashioned three-pronged posts.

It is lush and green and the pools are both great. The newest beachfront club is perfect for a day of swimming and snorkeling - shout out to the lifeguard on duty for taking such great care of us

The overall design of the hotel is very thoughtful, built across different elevations with a beach club, two pools, several restaurants and a well-equipped gym

For new year’s we had a full celebration including a delicious 5 course menu. And lastly our room the Premier Villa was beyond expectations. Spacious with a huge shower, outdoor area and semi private pool

The staff is exceptionally trained, we had a dedicated service member that was available at all times. Service is always fast and efficient. The food is truly incredible and what you would expect from world class chefs

My stay at Heritance Ayurveda was incredibly rejuvenating. It’s a beautiful hotel, each room with a stunning view of the gardens and ocean. The Ayurveda centre is the spa environment of my dreams

The food is nutritious and delicious. It’s a wonderful thing to eat a huge plate of food knowing it’s healing your body! The rooms are huge, comfortable, exceptionally clean, and have spacious, private balconies

I’ve done Ayurveda treatments several times in Kerala, and spent a lot of time thinking about which I prefer, because they’re both great, but I think that this place comes out on top

The food was great - which was a surprise to me as I am not a vegan and always want some kind of meet, dairy or fish with my food - but here I didn’t miss it
