Lovely hotel! Amazing staff that are very kind, quick and attentive. The hotel was lively with live music at night and great food. The views from the room were beautiful and it was very clean. The only bad thing was the really strong sewage smell in the hallways and room

A lovely old heritage hotel with a vintage feel, very clean and an excellent staff. A recommended experience. Close to train station, safe walking, good breakfast with an awesome view of the Jungfrau.

Aside from its good location and long history, this hotel is truly disappointing in every other aspect. The lighting is dim, making the rooms feel like something out of a horror movie at night. The soundproofing is terrible, the floors creak loudly, the breakfast selection is limited and runs out quickly, meaning you'll likely have to wait for the staff to bring out the next dish before you can eat! Also, the old room doors are impossible to open, so for the next few days I had to leave them unlocked – utterly ridiculous!

The hotel is a historic hotel with a retro decor, so the facilities are quite worn and the floor makes noises when you walk on it. 🤣The hotel is located near the station and you need to find a big slope. It will be a bit difficult if you bring a big suitcase. 😂

The hotel is located on a hill in the town of Wengen, with a slope leading up to it, which was a bit of a hassle dragging luggage. I booked a mountain view room, and the balcony offered a beautiful view of the mountains. The hotel is an old building with a vintage feel. The soundproofing is so-so; the floors creaked. It's about a half-hour train ride to Interlaken Ost, so I finally had to change trains. This might be a bit inconvenient if you travel frequently. There's a small concert in the lobby on the first floor in the evening.

If you are fascinated by an historic hotel and spend a lot of time in the public places you might enjoy this hotel. If not, there are better options. The hotel is close to downtown but it is up quite a steep hill. The bathroom is advertised as large but more than half is a huge soaking tub with high sides that makes taking a shower dicey. Breakfast is served from 7 to 10 but if you don’t get there by 8:45, you will not get the full selection which isn’t very big to start with. They make a limited number of croissants and when you ask about having one at 9 AM, they say it would take 20 minutes. Before 8:45 or thereabouts, there are three types of bread. After that only one remains. This pattern continued for the three days we stayed there.

The scenery outside the balcony is so beautiful. This is a very historic hotel. It should be a wealthy villa in ancient Europe, so some rooms are beautiful master bedrooms and guest bedrooms, and some are very poor servant rooms, such as single rooms, which are pitifully small and have no scenery.
The double room we booked is very beautiful. Because we brought children, we didn't pay attention to choosing 3 beds when booking, so the waiter needed to make a temporary arrangement. The beautiful girl at the front desk was very patient and gave a very favorable price. It felt very good.
The disadvantage is that although it is only more than 300 meters away from the station, it is a steep slope. Everyone who comes to the hotel is out of breath and needs to climb mountains to return to the hotel.
