Hotel Spatz

My family and i had a nice time at the hotel. The Family room is definitely comfortable and spacious. Maybe just to be warned that they don't have a lift -- however the staff offered to help with the luggage. The staff was nice and room was clean. The bus stop is just right outside and it's just a few minutes ride to the center/train station. We were also provided with a Luzern pass ticket for the duration of our stay. Overall a good experience! I would recommend!

A nice hotel a bit further away from the city center. The surrounding area is lovely, it has some nice villas. The bus station is next to the hotel, and you can use it freely, if you stay here. The rooms are not too spacious, but has everything you need. The breakfast is rich, you can choose from multiple options, and the staff is also helpful. If you're on tight budget, this hotel is a nice option for you to stay in the city.

Great location. The bed and pillows are heavenly. Minte at the reception had been very helpful during our entire stay. The bus stop right outside came in handy.

The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. They accommodated our request for extra pillows :). Nice for families as well for a quick stay.

Breakfast is a good option here as well, fairly cheap compared to other places, with enough options to cover your basic breakfast.

Transport is very convenient too with the bus stop just outside, with the number 1 bus going to kriens (for the cable car to Pilatus) and the train station of Lucerne. It is frequent too so don't worry about catching a specific one.

The room itself is small but can fit our family of 4 with the beds and the bathroom. Bathroom is spacious though the showerhead can't be put high so you will need to manually move the head around. The pillows themselves were great and the beds were nice and soft.

Depending on when you come finding someone for check-in might be difficult, but wait it out and ring them, it's definitely a place worth staying.

Extraordinary good service! They really did go the extra mile to make us feel comfortable, (like allow us to check in earlier since we arrived early, tired and exhausted of driving). They even offered us (all four) a free welcome meal - as they noticed we would need it :-D Top notch people!
Very clean rooms! Excellent location, easy to get to the city centre with many bus departures!
Parking slots were a little small, but I managed to squeeze in my Tesla Model S - which is 5 x 2 m!

For the price, this is a really a nice place. It is about a 15 minute walk to city center and in a clean neighborhood. You can take the bus but the walk is very pleasant.

Checking in: efficient and fast. No problems and extremely good

Rooms: clean. Shower was high powered and beds were comfortable. No A/C but the cool night air made up for it. I was on the top floor with my family and hit my head on the roof all the time, room follows the arch of the roof and I tended to walk right into the ceiling with my head. I am 6 foot, 3 inches so not an unusual issue, but just a warning to those that are taller.

Breakfast: Simple but perfect. Coffee always ready and good service.

Internet: spotty but works most of the time. Owner said that they are working to fix it (June 30th, 2016).

Parking: limited but I was able to find a space

Restaurant downstairs: good prices for Luzern and nice outdoor area to relax for the evening.
